Sharon: Well, that depends on the floor itself. The stone weighs close to 16.5 lbs per square foot at 2cm. |

I have some 2cm Dark Emp marble in various sizes. Would this be to heavy for a bathroom floor? |

CG: It could work as long as the white is not pure white (cold hue). It would need some warmth in it to go with the flooring. For the top, you can go with Crema Marfil for the easy way out, or pick something along the lines of Light Emperador. |

I have the same color cabinets as this bathroom, with a double vanity, garden tub surround and shower. I need a granite in the gold or beige family without a lot of gray that won't overpower the room. Any suggestions |

Yan: Sorry but this is a bit too general. Why not try to narrow it down to two or three color schemes? |

I have beige tiles for wall and floor, what color countertop and cabinet I should use? |

Paula: Crema Marfil is definitely popular. It's warm in tone and compliments the veining in the Dark Emperador well. I wouldn't recommend tubmbled tile in the shower (very very porous and an ideal spot for mold/bacteria). |

When dark emperador is chosen for a vanity top with an off-white cabinets... what type of shower tile / floor tile do you often see chosen? Crema Marfil or something similar? Please let me know of one you've used alot. Do polished (Dark Emp van top) mix well w/ with tumbled or honed? (shower). Many thanks. |

Andrea: Depending on the batch, Kashmir Gold can be very smooth, with not too much veining. That would be my pick. |

For our bathroom we have a 54" vantiy - cherry with sable glaze. Tile on floor and shower beige/taupe.Your selection is beautiful this is overwhelming. Thinking of Kashmir Gold, New Venetian Gold or one of the Giallo (maybe Veneziano.Want warm elegant not an overwhelming pattern. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Sandi: It is usually easier to choose the granite first. As far as the tile goes, there are thousands of variations so it will be easier to match the tile to the stone. |

Maria: Yes, this should be nice. Crema Marfil is very smooth, so it won't get in the way of granite. |

I'm planning to use dark emperador around my jacuzzi and vanity top. I'm not sure what color cabinet I should use antique white or a darker wood such as cherry? Please advise.

joanne: There definitely is. It depends on the particular quarry it came from. You have to see it in person to make a decision. |
