I find the shape fine with the inside radius but going from 2.5 radius to softend corner not a good look. I can see why you wouldn't recommend it.

Lisa, peacock is a very common granite. Not sure why you're calling it slate...

My backsplash is slate. I am pretty sure it is "peacock" it is the diamond shapes along with a pewter fruit border. I also used the bigger slate for countertops. It is not holding up so well. I want to switch to granite. Will this color match? If not, can you suggest one that might.

Becky: There is a greater risk of chipping on any edge that has sharper cuts. It is rare though that under normal use it would chip. And even if it does, we can always fix it - just save the piece that chipped off.

Do you find that you have problems with chipping on an edge like this?

Oh you bet it hurts. But this is how the homeowner envisioned his countertop. We certainly don't recommend sharp points but we will do them if you want to.

I LIKE THIS EDGE BUT THAT THING LOOKS LIKE IF YOU BACKED UP INTO IT IT WOULD HURT.
