I am debating between the solaris and gran kashmir. My cabinets are a fruitwood color. What do you think? |

Ann: I think it may be a bit too close to the cabinets color-wise. But as always, There's no better way to check than bringing a sample of the stone home. |

We have light cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a light beige tile floor. We like the madura gold. Do you think it will go well? Any other suggestions? |

Cathy: I think you're absolutely right! With white, off-white, ivory and cream, there is no need to go very dark. The contrast will be there as long as you use a stone that's not white. |

My kitchen has white cabinets with a glaze that gives them more of a cream colored look. I have hardwood floors in a warm cherry color and was considering the madura gold for my counters. Do you think it would make for a good contrast with the cabinets but would keep the overall look of the kitchen warm? I see a lot of really dark counters with white cabinets but that's not really the look I want. |

Gaye: Either one of them will be light enough to work with limited lighting. I would say that the Maple with Costa Esmeralda is a nice combination. |

We are trying to pick a granite, have narrowed our cabinets to Cherry with a Natural Finish or Maple with either a Coffee or Whisky Black Glaze. We like this granite, Costa Esmerelda or Labrador Antique. What granite will go best with these cabinets. Our galley kitchen does not get alot of natural light. |

I am installing Madura gold for my kitchen countertops. is there any specific cleaning procedure for this granite? |

mary : Black galaxy will make the kitchen look elegant and clean - if you keep it clean! It's the clean freak's nightmare. Black granite, especially polished, will show every single fingerprint and crumb. Think twice! It would shrink your kitchen as well. Dark colors will do that. |

Yes, this color is fairly popular. The edge depends on your kitchen's style, so does the hardware. |
