I made a comment on the Madura gold also. I like this color also, but again have yellow maple cabinets, yellow oak floors, stainless steel appliances. Plenty of natural and artificial light and white woodwork.

Jeannie: Depending on the shade of your maple cabinets, you may not need to go very dark. Medium browns will look a bit darker in a room if the cabinets are lighter.

I am installing maple cabinets with a roselle finish. Our tile is a light taneutral shade. We will we adding stainless appliances, can you suggest a granite color to go with?? Our kitchen is medium with large bar/counter area and filtered light... We like the darks but don't know what to do.....

Depending on just how light the cabinets are, this stone would work. It's not so bright.
