larisa: Those are excellent choices any of the three will provide plenty of contrast and brighten up your kitchen. For backsplash I would go with something simple, like subway tile. |

Please help. I need to choose granit counter tomorrow and I need help. My new cabinets medium walnut stain on maple, I could not decide on backsplash, but counter choices narrowed down to Delicatus, Bianco Romano and Crema Romano. With so much darker wood my kitchen start looking a bit gloomy. Please advise on counter top and backsplash, thank You |

Catherine: Contrary to what you may initially think, the spotty patterns can be more distracting than some of the really smooth, flowing ones. That said, I think something as gentle as Juparana Golden Vyara or even Kashmir Gold might be some of the options for you. |

I am updating my kitchen. Flooring is light hardwood, cabinets, now white, will be antique white, walls are a light yellow/wheat. THere's an island in the center. The kitchen opens into the great room. I am uncertain about which granite choices would be best. I think some of them would be overwhelming (the kitchen is not that large) and that I might get tired of it. Any suggestions? Would like to keep the price down.
Thanks. |

Maria : Light. Just as in this case, the cabinetry is providing the visual "base" for the countertops. If you decide to go with a dark color, the focus will turn to the cabinets instead of the countertops... If the cabinets are worth it, that's ok. |

First of all, I LOVE this room. Only wish I could afford the cabinetry! We are building and so far we have chosen natural cherry cabinets (which will darken over time), red oak floor. The kitchen is large. So do I go with dark or light granite? |

mary: Why not the yellowish St. Cecilia? It will go well with red. |

Ashley: Why not meet somewhere in the middle? St. Cecilia might be too light for a big room, but the Golden Vyara on the picture above looks good right? |

We are building a new home. I've chosen Cherry Cabinets in the kitchen and first decided on St. Cecila Light Granite with a light traveltine flooring but yesterday my husband wanted Cherry Cabinets with Dark Green Granite - same floor and SS Appliances - what should I go with? FYI the floor plan is very open with high ceilings! |

Gloria: All of them will work great. A nice warm gold is always going to look good with cherry. |

Choosing either Kratmaid Natural Cherry or Cherry/Sunset. Loved Valley View - would it work with either. How about Kasmir Gold or Modura Gold? |

Anita Guss: I think a light beige with hints of gold will fit your color theme. |

I have a new home, and am putting in walnut cabinets with a natural finish. Flooring will probably be a handscraped light oak or hickory. Any suggestions on a granite countertop color?? Thanks! |

sue: Well you have a clean slate there. I'd probably choose a darker granite for the countertops, as your cabinets are rather light. As far as the flooring goes, that's really up to you. From a practical standpoint, the tile will definitely be a wiser choice. |

What color granite looks gorgeous with my Cognac Maple cabinets by American Classics. What color floors can you recommend in either Tile or wood. My kitchen is being renovated and all I have is the cabinets. |

ROE.COZ:
You may look for something lighter since your cabinets are dark preferebly on the warmer yellow, creamy side.

Take your kitchen for a test drive! Go to our 2D Showroom (accessible in the right pane of this page). Find your cabinets, then find the stones that you're considering, and just see how it looks! |

I'm overwhelmed with Granite choices. I have natural maple cabinets and looked at the following: Crema Bordeaux, Juparana Delirious, Labarada Golden, Juperano Rio, New Persa, then I fell in love with a dark granite called Peacock and it had beautiful lapis colors in it. So, what to do? |
