SCOTT: To make the bullnose full size, the edge has a laminated piece of the same stone put underneath. It doesn't look right on most stones and the structural integrity of the whole countertop is not as rigid as in 1 3/4" thickness. |

I\\\'ve been told that I need at least a 2 1/4\\\" faucet deck thickness to accommodate grandite. Is this true? Most high arc faucets, like the one pictured here, are about 1\\\" and most don\\\'t offer extensions. |

Stephanie: Even with lots of light, a dark countertop will not provide the contrast that is needed to make the tops and cabinets stand apart from each other. It can be done, but it's a highly personal preference. |

I currently have dark cherry stained hardwood floors and I am remodeling with matching cabinets. Do you usually recommend a light countertop? Or with sufficient lighting can I get away with a dark one? |

Toni, I would get something darker. There are many choices and it will all depend on what colors you like. |
