Laura: High-end choices maybe something in the "Bordeaux" family of stones, less expensive would be Santa Cecilia or Juparana Yellow/Golden. |

We are painting our cabinets black with a touch of brown distress to them. Our floors are a dark chestnut wide blank. It is a rather small kitchen, with lots of light. We are having a hard time choosing granite. My husband prefers a lot of veining and depth (I am not so sure). Any suggestions for both high end choices and on a budget? Thank you |

reba: They do sound a bit dark but not terribly. Yes, emerald pearl is definitely green. Try Juparana Classico (ID#253 in the stone gallery). |

I have oak cabinets, stainless steel appliances, but my floor is a slate stone with more slate blue, gray, cream, little rose and white in the different stones. what color granite will work best? I had in mind blue pearl, black galaxy, emerald pearl (is that green? and black pearl but I'm afraid they may be to dark? Help |

Anne: Try our Stone Gallery. You can select stones that have movement and then look through them to see what you like. |

I have cherry cabinets in a ginger color and dawn colored red oak floors, Could you suggest a granite with a bit of movement that would go with this combination? |

This would go just fine. The pattern of this stone is a bit on the wilder side, so it would compensate for the lack of contrast. |
