joan: I think kashmir gold will give you more of the warmth. The edge on the bar is a laminated edge (two pieces of granite). Top is ogee, the bottom is full bullnose.

Name: joan

Date: 2008-07-22 17:26:43

Also, is there a price difference between kashmir and venetian gold light

Name: joan

Date: 2008-07-22 17:23:19

my kitchen cabinets are off-white with toasted almond glaze. My floors and backsplash are an off white. Would you suggest venitian gold light or kashmir for my countertops. I am looking for a tuscan feel. I would also like to have the same granite detail as in photo (stone id 287) which I think is ogee. Is the top of bar a different ogee style?

Thank you,you were a big help. I think I'll go with a darker stone

All Granite and Marble - Moderator

Anne: Well, two ways to go about this. Either pick a much darker stone, or stain the cabinets to a reddish dark hue.

the cabinets are a medium chery and the floor is oak, it just all blended together

All Granite and Marble - Moderator

Julie : I'd have to go with a medium to dark gold. If all fails and you want to change the rest, you are free to match it with red, green, blue... whatever you want.

Anne: What color are the cabinets? That might not be such a bad thing if the cabinets are dark.

All Granite and Marble - Moderator

Date: 2008-07-17 18:21:51

ann: It depends what you have as the current countertop. It might not be easy but it is somewhat doable. Some cabinetry work may be required (in other words, it might get expensive).

All Granite and Marble - Moderator

Date: 2008-07-17 17:25:28

Belinda: Well, you're picking dark colors, which is good in your scenario. I would probably go with a medium or dark brown. Check out our stone gallery.

I have white cabinets and gold walls (tuscan), Italian look in my kitchen. We have medium/light wood floors but considering staining a little darker. I\\\'m trying to pick out a granite that goes with the current style of the kitchen will transition when I tire of the tuscan theme. Do you have any suggestions?

I had picked out an indian gold, but when I came home with a sample, the color totally blended in with the oak floor

Mary Gerapetritis: Madura will tend to be reddish or have reddish veining/spots. Kashmir sounds like a better idea.

Meteorus is the stone and i is predominately black, with gren/gray slivers and plum circles like cherries. It also has silver looking \"brushes\" throught. It is an exotic stone and I found in out in california. I can google it and pics also come up. My concern it is so exotic, it is unusual. Wonder if anyone else has used it?
