Beth: Either would work, it's just a matter of dark vs. light. So this is when other factors like flooring and appliances come into play. |

I am installing ginger maple cabinets, and can't decide between uba tuba and giallo vicenza. The color of the g.v. looks great with the wood, but we like the sparkle of the uba tuba. Thoughts? |

Claire: There is really no most "popular" color, every situation is different and it matters on what you like! |

Tommy: Yes polished is the shiny look. We don't offer any other finish, and brushing it down will be quite expensive. If you think shiny shows a lot of smudges then stay away from brushed! |

Is the polished finish the shiny look? My sister has the shiny granite and it shows smudges and fingerprints. I was looking to possibly do a brushed finish but if you think it will show a lot of dirt I won't do that. |

Tommy: No problem :-) We offer Giallo Vicenza in a polished finish. Anything else would show a lot of dirt. |

Thank you for your input. one other question, does the Giallo Vicenza come in different finishes? |

Tommy: Either of those would look sharp. |

I am getting maple coffee or palamino cabinets and was thinking about the Giallo veneziano or Giallo Vicenza countertop. Are either of those a good choice or do you recommend something different? |

chris: I think you should really get samples of both stones and bring them home. There are so many variables, especially the lighting, which can completely mislead you in the decision. |

My new cabinets are very similar to the ones in this photo.I like giallo vincenza and tropical brown. They both seem to be lighter in color compared to the cabinets but when you see them in slab form they appear to be darker.I can't tell what to make of it.Can you help? |

We have knotty alder cabinets with a special walnut stain, is this a good granite choice? (Completely open kitchen) What else would you recommend? |

Cheryl: Country kitchens tend to be warm, you're looking for yellows, golds, browns, etc. Take a look at this video http://www.marble.com/countertops/video/product/Warmth-of-Gold. |

I'm desperately trying to find the right granite for a country kitchen with natural cherry cabinets with a Van Dyke Brown stain. the floor is somewhat lighter than the cabinets. I'd told I need something warm... Not even sure if it should be light or dark myself. |

Do you know the name of the color of the cabinets? What stain and wood is it? |

Scott: Backsplash is some sort of a tumbled marble/durango tile. Floor seems to be similar material but darker. |

Do you know what the flooring and backsplash is?
Thanks! |
