Susan: Try Tropical Brown, it's a little darker to contrast the honey cabinets.

Have Oak Cabinets (honey colored)- haven't selected tile or backsplash or wall paint yet. I looked at Giallo Vincenza - would this look OK - it seemed to have some peach in it which would go with the adjacent family room. Open to any suggestions - Thanks.

AJ: You could use a pattern with more movement, for example Madura Gold.

Our kitchen has a lot of oak cabinets and the floor 18\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" diagonal stone in light taupe with scalloped edges. The appliances will probably be black. I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m thinking Gialla Vicenza for the countertops and a black granite sink but I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m afraid it will look too bland. I appreciate any comments.

marie: Good choices to consider would be New Venetian Gold, Santa Cecilia, Kashmir Gold.

I have cherry wood cabinets with a medium finish (not dark cherry) they have an orange undertone. I was hoping for Granite suggestions.

I would like to know if I have to buy 3/4 inch cabinet to install granite in my kitchen ? or is 1/2 inch cabinet ok? will 1/2 inch cabinet support the weight of the granite? Thank you :)

Debra: It would be very messy and expensive, we do not do this.

Can the edge of the granite counter top be changed after installation. I currently have a beveled edge -but would prefer the water fall or ogee

Would Giallo Vecenda granite match with Cherry Cordovan cabinets?

Sharon: Giallo Vicenza would look fantastic.

This is my favorite! How would this look with Maple Cabinets with a light honey- stain (not sure of the name of the color :)? I like a speckled granite with the larger circular pattern with brown and black and a touch of gold. If this isn't a good match do you have any ideas what would be a better fit?? I appreciate your input!!

carolyn: It would be fine as a full backsplash, but I would stick to tile.

We are chose the Giallo Vecenda for the kitchen countertops, and I would like to use the Vecenda on the backsplash as well. Would this be to much pattern.? We have a large kitchen with an island and the cabinets are light oak.

victor: Depending on how much light is available, I would use a rich dark color such as Platinum Bahia, or one with a really striking pattern, such as Zeus.

we like pattern 282...Juparana Vyara

karen: Light seems to be a good choice for you. For one, the small kitchen won't shrink visually, and two, it's hard for me to imagine a good dark match for light green cabinets.

i have older cabinets light green and multi colored tile (green, blue, cream) the kitchen is on the small should i go with light colored granite and backspash

I have travertine tile in a cream/golden tone with honey oak cabinets. Backsplash is split face travertine in a versailles pattern, in either gold oro or beige, haven't decided on color. Looking for a granite that will offer contrast to both cabinet & backsplash, but not compete with backsplash -- so no speckles! Ruled out black pearl, made cabs look like peanut brittle. Any ideas?

Nancy: Should be ok. I would consider going even lighter. Maybe Giallo Ornamental?

I have medium colored oak cabinets. And a light almond ceramic tile floor. Do you think this would look alright? The kitchen does not have a whole lot of natural light.

Would this granite look alright with white cabinets and oak wood floors?

Dee: Black is better left for a bar top. In a small (ish) kitchen, it will look too heavy and cramped. I second your idea.

we currently have standard med honey oak cabinets and would like to put granite in. It is a small townhouse kichen. My husband and I are debating. He wants to go with black granite countertop. I would like to paint the cabinets a lighter color (white or antiqe white) and go with a beige/gold countertop like the giallo vicenza. Thoughts?
