Marie N.: No problems with Butterfly. There are so many varieties out there, you surely will find a lighter or darker shade. Black galaxy is going to be pretty much black. It's also quite a demanding stone to keep looking clean (shows fingerprints, smudges etc.). How about a dark Blue Pearl?

Please suggest a light and medium granite counter for golden oak cabinets. Considering butterfly or black galaxy but worried might be too dark as room faces east. Floor is almond. Help! getting dizzy! :)
