wanda: I'd go with the darker stone - verge butterfly will look beautiful. |

Debbie: I'm leaning towards the Solaris. It's rich in color and compliments the cherry beautifully. |

Wendy: The Santa Cecilia pictured above is a safe choice, same with Giallo Ornamental. A tumbled marble backsplash will tie-in everything nicely. |

Linda: You should do an earth tone scheme of inserts. These colors include browns, tans, greens, greys, blues and a few reds. As for the design, thats up to you. |

Lisa: Santa Cecilia looks great with dark cabinets/stains (Cherry, walnut). And a travertine tile floor will compliment it nicely. |

SUSAN: Santa Cecilia or New Venetian Gold are choices that would provide contrast and pick up the cherry in your cabinets with their occasional burgundy speckling.

A have a very bright kitchen - with medium stained cherry cabinets accented with black outline and handles and beige (4 different shades)porcelaine floor. Wondering what you would suggest for granite counters/large center island.
Many thanks! |

I have this granite for my countertop. I have light cherry cabinets, the island is a cream finish. What do you suggest for the backsplash? I do not get too much sunlight in my kitchen. |

JOhn : Ceramic tile would look good in a travertine color. |

If Wanting to go with ceramic tile would the color still be darker? We already had a light hardwood in adjoining room. |

John: I'm sorry, meant to write darker hardwood floors, maybe a red oak or birch. |

So are you saying you would not go with tile floors? |
|
All Granite and Marble - Moderator | Date: 2009-09-16 08:54:49 |
John: Go with harder hardwood floors. And a golden/yellowish tone for the walls is an excellent idea. |

I just got Santa Cecelia in kitchen. White Cabinets and appliances. Should floor be in same family or darker since cabinetry is light. What color for walls? thinking gold? |

Danielle: Santa Cecilia would look good, but if your kitchen is very spacious with a lot of sunlight you might want to go darker, maybe look at Baltic Brown, or Giallo Veneziano. |

I currently have white cabinet
and stainless appliances. I was thinking about st ceclia granite? or should I go darker? Plus what kind of tile color would work best for the floor and backsplash? |

Diane: You can go darker with something like Ubatuba or Butterfly -- contrast is the key...if you like the Cecilia pattern but think it's dull take a look at New Venetian Gold. |

Jim: It will match well that's for sure, if it's a spacious kitchen with plenty of natural light then I don't see a problem. |
