Kris: The greenish wall might not fly well with reddish stones (like this one). Seek golds and browns. |

Hello. Any suggestions for a granite using the following combos... clear maple hardwood flooring, Natural cherry cabinets, greenish wall. |

orson: I think going lighter will solve the problem here. Try Juparana Golden Vyara and see how you like that one. |

I have Mahoganey cabinets with a Rojo Picante marble floor and a brownish/orange\'ish venetian plaster finish on the walls above the cabinets. I am having a tough time coming up with a proper combination for the granite counter top and all this. We like the Bordeaux but think it might be too busy since the floor is busy already. Any ideas? |

meena: Since it's a small kitchen, I would recommend lighter colors. Try Santa Cecilia or Giallo Ornamental. |

We have a small kitchen with medium grainy oak cabinets and paneling. Floor is also similar oak (a very 90's type oak look). What kind of granite would work best here? Would any of the blacks like uba tuba work? |

Holli: I'll start backwards. There are only TWO grades. Commercial and Premium. Both grades have similar qualities, but the commercial slabs will have imperfections such as spots, surface pitting and cracks. Premium slabs are near perfect. What you're talking about is the pricing levels. A reputable fabricator will never use commercial quality slabs. Now, on to the first question. The stone you're describing should provide you ample contrast and will let the rest of the kitchen speak for itself. |

Hello,
We have Cherry stained Oak cabinets and our flooring is a honey oak color, what do you think of the granite color Giallo Arabescato ( it looks like New Venetian gold, San Celia but not as yellow)?
Also Is there differnet grades of granite we were told S- for standard, M- for Mid grade and P for Premium,
what is the difference?
Thanks |

Anne: I don't see how it would present any problems (other than if someone hated it). It's not like the future owners would be able to match other giallos anyway. The stone varies a lot from batch to batch. Chances are a few months later you won't be able to get the same batch anymore. |

I have looked at some of the other Giallos also. In my area, Giallo Napoleone isn't seen as much as others, such as Giallo Ornamental. Any reason why it is less popular? I don't want to pick a stone that would present a problem if we ever need to sell the house. |

Anne: Any of the Giallo's would work. Napoleone is not an exception. |

What do you think of Giallo Napoleone? Would like to remodel using existing maple cabinets watural finish (ambered a bit with age), cork flooring in natural color, walls painted light sage green with white trim. Granite on U-shape + island + desk + cabinet in breakfast area. |

Erin: Medium to light browns/golds. |

Gail: It will definitely give the kitchen a nice punch. Just keep in mind that Black galaxy is a bit more "needy" when it comes to keeping it clean. |

Ihave sage green walls, medium oak cabinets and tile floors that are sage green, forest green, tan, reddish brown. What color granite would you recommend |

I have glossy white cabinets (we\'re remodeling) so I\'ve ordered an island in fawn oak, we\'re planning on using black galaxy countertops do you think this will look good or should we consider something else? We also like the blue pearle, what do you think? |

Holli: Both veneziano and bordeaux would work. It all depends on how much red you want. |

We have oak Cherry stained kitchen cabinets and our hardwood floors are alos oak but stained in a maple color.
What color of granite is the best choice? ( We do not like black granite as our appliances are white)

Deidre: Although I see no relevance to the photograph, I will answer. To me, Giallo Vincenza would be the one. It will tie in all of the kitchen elements, and provide good contrast at the same time. |

I have medium oak cabinets, oak hardwood floors, black appliances and eggshell walls with brown sponging. What granite would go best? I'm torn between uba tuba and giallo vicenza or similar. Please advise-templates will be done in 4 days! |

Mickie: Sometimes it is too much. It really depends on the size of the kitchen and the type of granite used. |

I like the idea of using the granite up the wall to the bottom of the cabinets. my builder thinks it could be too much and take away from countertop. what do you think |

We have a "pullman style" kitchen, 10' length, with med. to light oak cabinets and stainless and black appliances. What color would go better, Kashmir White or Caledonia? |

My cabinets are cherry in Sunset. I was thinking of Black Galaxy for the L shape part of my kitchen. (around stove and sink) and Bourdeaux for my island. What do you think? Any other two colors that you think match well together? |

I have open kitchen to gathering room and family room with stone hood. Cream cabinets with a light glaze, light beige travertine floors in kitchen. What color granite. Do you think Giallo Napoleone may work. |

tatiana: You may take a look at Shiva Kashi if you like lighter granites or you may go as dark as Uba Tuba (Butterfly) if you have large and bright kitchen. |

How about bordeaux (color 60) with pickled cabinets like the 12th in cabinet selection? Or would the cream bordeaux be better? The floors are med. oak, neautral walls. I also prefer big spots vs. speckles. thanks! |

I'm afraid Yellow River might be a bit too strong (pettern-wise). |

How about Yellow River with the pickled oak cabinets and creme backsplash with hints of sage and terracota? |
