I am planning an open kitchen with a large (10') island open to the living room. Right now we have chosen Kashmir white for the back run of cabinets and black pearl for the island. The cabinets on the wall are a med/dark knotty alder and the island is a silvery grey. I am trying to figure out what backsplash will look best with the kashmir white? The default for our builder is the floor tile which is a med color grey/taupe blend set on diagonal |

We have the same setup as this kitchen, off white perimeter and medium island SS appliances. Any thoughts on backsplash colors? Shoould I go darker or stay light like a white tile? I noticed that this kitchen is missing a BS, do you know what they ended up choosing? |

Dawn: Very good match to the cabinets. Price would be somewhere in the upper middle area. |

I like this stone alot. My contractor said to save money go with a stock color or tier A. Would this fit that category? Also would it go with med. tone maple cabinets with slight reddish hue? |

Joyce: Sure. This stone is very light and should produce a lot of good contrast. |
