Ashley: This is also fine, if a corner is close to the door, you do not want to bump yourself into a square corner, a little more radius is better, for comfort and practical reasons. |

Thank you. What about the corners in different areas of the regular counter tops, should these be different? we received a quote where the company said they would round one corner that was by the door but the other corner of our kitchen should be square. The corners they said should be square are on more of desk area in the kitchen. Does that sound right that one corner is round and the other two are square? This is nothing to do with an island, it is the counter that runs around the kitchen wall. |

Ashley: Yes, most commonly it is done differently between the island and perimeter countertops. |

I see that some corners are square and you have others rounded. Is this typical? We are trying to figure out if corners can be mixed and matched. |

Geri: That's an excellent choice. For backsplash I recommend a tumbled marble tile. |

I have washed oak cabinets and light wood flooring. Was thinking of Giallo light vincenza. Kitchen is now painted a medium tone sage. How would this look and could you recommend a tile backsplash? Thank you. |

Sandy: I do not know how far the overhang extends, but it is over 12 inches as that is the minimum length when support needs to be implemented. |

I have natural oak cabinets. Besides this color shown here, can you give me another good choice for a granite color? |

Gail Brown: Tropical brown seems the best choice out of the ones you mention. Least busy, while providing ample contrast. |

I am completely remodeling kitchen. I have glazed knotty adler cabinets and a floor of three size tiles laid in a pattern. The floor is beige, brown, tan and grey with a touch of salmon. I have stainless appliances with black handles, microwave door, etc. I want a granite that is rich and will not look too busy. I have considered giallo veneziano, santa ceclia and also thought about going darker such as tropical brown. Help! |

Jessica: The two colors are a bit different (this one being a bit darker) but the key difference between the photos are the cabinets. This kitchen has much less contrast. That's probably why you don't like it as much. |

I loved the way the Giallo Vicenza looks in image 7, however I am not crazy about it here. Is it because of the contrast or can they be that much difference in the slabs? |

mel: This floor looks to be ceramic tile that imitates travertine. You'll find it in most tile places. From the three you mention, I'd probably go for Coffee Brown, although my suggestion would be something like Platinum Bahia. |

Floor Tile?
Also, if my cabinets are dark oak and walls are Off white and appliances are black, what would be a sophisticated ganite for the counter tops? Tropical brown, Santa Celia or Coffee Brown? or do you have another option? |
