Thank you! Do you have a suggestion for something along those lines w/ more of a swirl/veins to it? Is there such a thing? Ivory Brown would probably be too light, but the pattern in it is beautiful! |

Gen: I'd go darker, try Tropical Brown, or Tan Brown. |

I have natural oak colored cabinets, white appliances, and a pale peach/pink ceramic tile floor w/matching tile backsplash (all builder chosen/installed). I was leaning towards New Venitican Gold, Golden Butterfly, or Santa Helena but everything I've been reading says to contrast the cabinets. Would you recommend one of the three I'm considering or something darker? I really want the granite to stand out. |

Sandra Hopkins: I don't think black would be too dark if it's a spacious kitchen with plenty of natural light. |

I'm doing a new kitchen with pecan cabinets, stained honey oak. I like the black granite (silver pearl) but they told me at the place I purchased the cabinets, black would be too dark with my cabinets. What are your thoughts? |

I think the cabinets on this site are like mine. (Honey Oak). Cabinets are like new but kitchen needs a facelift. I'm wondering if there is a black granite with some type of gold speckles that would work with the cabinets. I know Ubatuba will work but seems to have too much green. Any other suggestions. Thanks |

terri: I answered the first question without reading this one, but you seem to be heading precisely according to my answer. Yes, Uba Tuba would look quite nice. |

terri: First decide whether you want a light or a dark stone. You mentioned that the kitchen is open. Does it get a lot of light? If so, maybe a darker stone would be nice. As you see in the photo above, the countertops tend to blend in (color wise) with their surroundings. That's not always a good thing. Most of the time people want to showcase the stone and make it stand out. You do that by creating contrast. A dark stone with these cabinets would contrast nicely. |

Contiuing with my previous question. Would uba tuba granite go well with the cabinet that is in this site? |

I have the same cabinets in my kitchen. My house is not an old house, it is few years old. I don't want to change the cabinet but put a new granite counter top. My kitchen is open to the family room. currently the walls are white. I will paint according to the color of the countertop. Any suggestion in colors? Should I go toward gray or beige gold? totally lost. |
