I am thinking of doing granite counters. I have oak cabinets and floors and a small kitchen. I am thinking of doing Creama Bordeaux on the island for interest and something like UbaTuba or one of the browns on the bases. Any suggestions? |

Noreen Lamb: Bianco Romano is very light, I would go darker. |

Would the Bianco Romano be better? Not so busy |

Noreen Lamb: Then Bordeaux would be a good choice, its rich and warm. The slabs can vary between each other so make sure to take a sample of cabinetry and put it against the slab to see if it looks good. |

I just have track lighting and accent lights above the high shelves. I'm looking for a color that won't make the cabinets stand out so much. I can't afford to replace them so I'm looking for the granite to take the eye away from them |

Noreen Lamb: Bordeaux would look nice although it can be quite busy, how is the lightning in your kitchen? Is it a spacious area? Imperial Green would indeed look better with white rather than maple cabinets. |

Would the Imperial Green be good as well or would that only go with white? |

Thanks, I'll do that. I should have mentioned that I have one accent wall which is sage green and the other walls are very very light peach in color. I also thought maybe the Tropical Brown or Bordeaux would be what I'd have to go with because of the peach walls |

Noreen Lamb: I see you mentioned green in your previous post, a dark greenish granite would have plenty of contrast and look nice, take a look at Butterfly Green. |

Sorry, I lost electricity until now. My cabinets are very light natural wood, almost biege in color. Can you tell me which granite color would be best to have a contrast with? |

Noreen Lamb: What kind of wood cabinets do you have? You want to have a contrast between the cabinets and the granite. |

Is his the best granite to go with natural wood cabinets? I would prefer green but I don't think it would go with the cabinets |
