Atia: More contrast usually looks better. It lets the individual elements "breathe" and stand out on their own.

Green is my kitchen theme color. I like the verde sequoia for countertop. I would like to do a tumbled marble backsplash in a more neutral color. My question is what color are those cabinets and is it a good idea to have cabinets closer to the color of the backsplash or to be more of a contrast to the countertop.
