Mark Potts: To be honest, the tile will be more of a hassle to clean. But putting granite as the backsplash can make the whole kitchen too "heavy" looking. It really needs to be done right. |

Tile was used as the backsplash. Do you think granite as the backsplash behind the rangetop/barbeque would pose a problem, given the heat and or grease produced from the stove/barbeque top? |

Ellen: We do not sell tiles. What you saw on TV, is engineered stone. Natural stone cannot be installed as a veneer. |

Have seen on a recent home improvement show, the use of granite in a thin veneer covering existing formica counters. Do you offer this service? How about granite tiles? |

Brooke: It is a concern for sure. You can remedy that by adding more light. |

I really love this kitchen. I have cherry cabe and doing stainless appliances and want the same color for my floor. The kitchen is not that big. Would this color granite make the room look smaller? |

sue: It all depends on the size of the kitchen. Large kitchens will accommodate more movement. |

Want kitchen to look amazing. What do you think about Brown Snake? It has big veins,is very rich in color, but somewhat uneven. Cabs are dark brown similar to this photo, called Cognac Maple. I am considering Noche Travertine Floors, but worry that it will clash with the Brown Snake and look to busy. What granite and floor color do you recommend? |

No, these two stones are different. Verde Lavras is lighter. |

Did you use 4"x4" tumbled marble with 2"x2" metal inserts on the backsplash? It looks great, but not too busy. What did you use to frame the area behind the stove? |

Kathy, yes we do. Brazil and India are the two largest suppliers of granite. |
