Trixie: Depends on your use. For cooking and serving food it is definitely not going to last long before it gets stained and scratched. |

sara: Bianco Romano would be quite the statement in your kitchen. The contrast with the island would really shine through while the rest would serve as a nice, toned down backdrop. Not boring, just toned down. |

My kitchen has soft white wall cabinets, chocolate glaze alder island, brazilian cherry floors, stone fireplace with muted colors of greys and bronze in it. Would Bianco Romano work or should I go to a darker granite? Any other suggestions on granite color? Best site I've run across on granite. |

We are in the middle of a bathroon remodel. Purchased Carrera marble double sink countertop- and already not liking the water stains. Suggestions for a flooring? We were going to do the carrera on the floor too- but, now not so sure? |

erin: I think that a light color, like the one on this photo, will add to the contrast between the island and the rest of the kitchen, therefore making the room a lot more interesting. |

I have heart pine floors, creamy white cabinets and a black distressed island. What granite would you recommend with these colorings? |

coogan-alaska: Bianco romano or Bianco Cardinale... they look very similar to Calacatta Oro marble and not too different from Carrara. |

Christy: White ceramic? Or slate perhaps. What is this for? Kitchen, bathroom? |

We are doing a 1935 beach cottage restoration. Will be using white panel cabinets with beadboard accents, etc. Want to connote victorian theme. What granite will provide the image of carrera marble.... to avoid the drawbacks of marble? |

I have carrera marble countertops and don't know what to do for flooring. Any suggestions besides hardwood flooring? |

Lida: Both very good choices and excellent materials. You will have enough contrast that will emphasize the countertops. |

michelle: Both are good options. You may also look into Giallo Ornamental or Giallo Veneciano for similar color schemes and patterns. |

I have black painted cabinets and I love the look of Carrera marble but I am hesitant to put marble in my kitchen after the horror stories i've heard. I like the look of Bianca Romano above but I don't want the beige tones. Is there another stone similar to this that would have the greyish/black colors? Thank you. |

Yes, brass will match. Keep in mind the color of the cabinets as well though. |

What finish is the hardware. Would Antique Brass complement the counter? |
