bhavana: Your guess is as good as mine! I'd say brushed nickel. |

What metal are the faucets and cabinet knobs made of? Can i get the name of the company [for both faucets and knobs]? It looks like a cross between pewter and brushed nickel, but i can\\\'t tell. Thanks for any info. |

That's a good rule for the overhang. Your contractor is correct. |

Tammi: I might be a little bit hard to match another color with green. |

What is the average width for a breakfast bar (sitting on a 4" wide wall between 2 rooms), and how is it best supported? Should I have my contractor do something special to the wall the bbar will sit on? I've heard supports need to go out 2/3 the depth of the bar, and dow at least as far as it sticks out (?). Thanks! |

Oh, and sorry, med, not dark greens. I saw something at your Ridgedale site called Atlantic Brown that was REALLY cool (I liked it because it had lots of colors in it). Would a black be to harsh with it? Beige floor, black and stainless apps... Thanks! |

I just noticed: these folks did 2 different counter colors, nice effect. My cabs are honey oak, and I tend toward greens, any thoughts on 2 colors for that? I\'d like one side and the raised bfast bar to be different... |

Thanks, I defintely need a surface that requires less maintenance...even though I prefer the honed look over the polished.... |

The polished surface is going to be easier to maintain. You can think of the polished surface as glass. The honed surface will catch more dirt. |

What is the difference (if any) with the maintenance of honed versus polished granite? Which one is more forgiving with water spots? |
