bhavana: Your guess is as good as mine! I'd say brushed nickel.

What metal are the faucets and cabinet knobs made of? Can i get the name of the company [for both faucets and knobs]? It looks like a cross between pewter and brushed nickel, but i can\\\'t tell. Thanks for any info.

That's a good rule for the overhang. Your contractor is correct.

Tammi: I might be a little bit hard to match another color with green.

What is the average width for a breakfast bar (sitting on a 4" wide wall between 2 rooms), and how is it best supported? Should I have my contractor do something special to the wall the bbar will sit on? I've heard supports need to go out 2/3 the depth of the bar, and dow at least as far as it sticks out (?). Thanks!

Oh, and sorry, med, not dark greens. I saw something at your Ridgedale site called Atlantic Brown that was REALLY cool (I liked it because it had lots of colors in it). Would a black be to harsh with it? Beige floor, black and stainless apps... Thanks!

I just noticed: these folks did 2 different counter colors, nice effect. My cabs are honey oak, and I tend toward greens, any thoughts on 2 colors for that? I\'d like one side and the raised bfast bar to be different...

Thanks, I defintely need a surface that requires less maintenance...even though I prefer the honed look over the polished....

The polished surface is going to be easier to maintain. You can think of the polished surface as glass. The honed surface will catch more dirt.

What is the difference (if any) with the maintenance of honed versus polished granite? Which one is more forgiving with water spots?
