Jim: Are you leaning towards a dark or lighter granite color? |

We are renovating our kitchen/family room area. We are putting down slate tile in the kitchen that has verigated earth tones...olive/tans/very little bits of tera-cotta. No tile is the same. We will have cherry cabinets with chocolate glaze and stainless steel appliances. We would like to continue the granite tops onto the built-in's in our family room which will be white....the floors are pegged hardwood. We want a nice flow since the wall between is partially open. Looking for granite suggestions that will compliment all without clashing with our kitchen floor. All painted surfaces will be painted Mannered Gold (6130)by S.W. Any granite suggestions would be appreciated. This site is tremendous! |

deborah: Hmmm, if it was an island you wanted to change to Golden Beach it would be fine, but a peninsula will look bad with the two colors connecting. What about something like Giallo Ornamental on everything, it's much more affordable. |

I have verdi peacock gold granite (it is very dark) I was thinking of changing it to golden beach, but it is a large expense. I have a a large penisila now would it be possible to change the color of that to golden beach to lighten up the kitchen, bt that would mean the two colors would butt up to each other. |

Kass: I would suggest either stainless steel or black appliances. White will stick out too much. Backsplash can be a neutral color (tumbled marble tiles) and for the paint, perhaps a sage green or other light greens. |

we're remodelling and considering verde butterly counters. Our cabinets are the same shade as the photo. What would you suggest for paint and flooring, our kitchen is large and bright, all white appliances, sink, cooktop? |

I have red oak cabinets. Floor is rustic ceramic tile in shades of taupe, brown, and gray. What family of colors would you recommend for countertop? |

It is Paveio. The colors are nearly identical to those of Uba Tuba, however the pattern is much larger. |

Is the stone Paveio the same as Uba Tuba? It looks very similar. |
