jennifer: Feeling adventurous there I see! Well, to be honest, it's very hard to pull off two granites in the same room. Unless your cabinets are white that is. I think I would stick to the Platinum Bahia all over, mainly because you mention that you have plenty of light. Dark kitchens are very elegant! |

I have cherry cab with black glaze and my kit island is dark chocolate. My floors are light cream/white tile. I was thinking of placing a light granite (creams) but the platinum Bahia is really beautiful. Would having a light color granite top just on the island look OK? would having the platinum Bahia all over be too dark? I have a lot of light |

Most likely it is stored in our Stroudsburg location. Call (570) 421-3333 and ask if they have Platinum Bahia. If you can't find it there we could always fabricate it out of our Ridgefield Park location or transport the slabs to Stroudsburg. |

Do you carry this granite in your Strousburg site? If so, is it available right now? |

Find your local fabricators and give them a call. It will be hard to find this online. |

Upon extensive research on this matter (well sort of extensive ;), I came to conclusion that this granite is known also as Platinum Bahia. So all three names are correct I suppose. |

Is the consensus that the color is cafe bahia. I thought it was chocolate brown or is that the cabinets? |
|
All Granite and Marble - Moderator | Date: 2006-08-23 10:03:03 |
Cafe Bahia... hmmm, haven'e heard that yet. But who knows. Some fabricators/warehouses use their made up names to falsify uniqueness of the stone. |

Does it go under any other name as so many do? Is it the same as cafe bahia? |
|
All Granite and Marble - Moderator | Date: 2006-08-22 15:02:30 |
It is not really common, but larger warehouses might have it. |
