About David Jefferson

Biography:

David Jefferson is a designer and space planner with a gift for combining the esthetic and the fantasy with the practical. His two decades of experience in space planning with his knowledge of woodworking gives him the ability to design from a number of different perspectives. Having trained in carpentry and design in England he then spent time in the theatre designing stage sets. After this he moved into the construction of corporate trade stands throughout Europe. This gave him the understanding of not just in the practical aspects but also in the ambience and drama created by space and light. You can see from his portfolio the myriad combinations of texture and materials he uses to create a fresh, comfortable and unique atmosphere in whatever environment he is working in. Whether it is the application of stone and wood on the kitchen counter or the upholstered banquette to the inglenook hearth, all elements have their own personality. David believes that to make a space work you need to understand the flow along with the proportions and the function of the space.
