You can see my dilemma, the granite would be too heavy and would prolly fall over anf break if I didn't add support. Your template guy Mario said I def need to add some support, I was thinking about L-Brackets but what kind? I have metal studs in that wall. If I had to buy L-brackets I would want something not...."plain". Ok talk soon, and again, thanks guys.

    pewterss,

I'm happy you've stayed with us and continue to update us on the situation of your project. I recommend white L brackets that would blend-in nicely with the color tones of the base and countertop. I've found an example that would compliment this application and provide strong support. Just click here. Let me know what you think.

    Hi Derek,

Yes you guys are the best as far as I am concerned and have sent several people your way already.
As for the L-Bracket, yes I do like that one and had seen one similar at home depot. I was hoping to find something with a little more style possibly. Can't find anything great unfort... was hoping you guys had or knew of something even nicer.

You can use decorative corbels that come in a variety of styles. Check out the links I attached to see if you can find something that works best with the style of your kitchen and home. Let me know what you think!

    Hi guys,
Just an update, spent the weekend looking over lots of stuff here, and I narrowed it down to the following. http://www.federalbrace.com/Arrowwoo...V22924YTW.aspx
Hoping to order them by the end of the week.... and in November I'll place my order for that Alpine Green so I can replace the horrific white counter-top I currently have. Thanks guys for the suggestions.

Terrific! I'm happy that you've found an adequate solution to your support problem. That's one more issue out of the way and one step closer to a finished kitchen.

    Hi Kinga, and Dereck...
Just called up the NJ office and scheduled my template for this Wednesday, hopefully morning.
Do you think I would be able to get this installed by Sunday ? Hoping to get this done before superbowl when I have guests over. I finished installing the corbel's and refinishing the wall with ledger stones... I will post a pic once done.

    talk to you guys soon,
    John

    pewterss,

Welcome back to the forums! After the template is completed on Wednesday, please call the office that is handling your project and ask to speak with the Installation Manager. You will be informed when the installation will happen depending on the volume of work we have at the time, the complexity of your countertops and other factors. However, do not be alarmed, as please keep in mind, our standard turnaround time from template to installation is about three days, so I'm hopeful we will be able to do the installation by Sunday as you wish. Let us know how things work out!
