    Sink cuts

Does Marble.com have any issues doing zero-reveal (flush) sink cuts? We do not want the granite to overhang the sink.

Some fabricators are telling us they always to a 1/8" overhang because sometimes the granite tears out on the bottom and it doesn't look as good. I suspect they say this to make it easier for themselves. I figure it's not that big a deal if you have a CNC system and a proper template.

We'd be using Blue Pearl GT granite.

    Thanks!

Yes, we can make your sink ‘flush-mount’ with no overhangs and no reveal. If you would like your sink to be ‘flush-mounted’, please inform our technician at the time of your template so he can properly note your sink template(s). Also, when you’re confirming your project with us after your template appointment, please double check with our reps that we properly noted the account.

Is this something you guys do often? In other words, this isn't an odd request, right? If the slab is delivered and it looks lousy, then what?

We do “flush-mount” sink cutouts quite often which is not an odd request. We create a completely customized countertop for you from the radius on each corner to the type of sink cutout you prefer. We offer the opportunity to each of our clients to come back after their templates are created, pick their slab and place the templates on the slab itself and choose the exact pieces the customer wants us to cut. If a customer is unhappy with the pieces they chose; unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible since they were the ones who physically picked them. Each stone has many beautiful, natural ‘imperfections’ that sometimes cannot be avoided and cannot be altered or ‘fixed’ by a fabricator which should be embraced by the homeowner. In case we deliver your piece and breaks during installation, all we ask of you is to come back to our yard, re-pick your piece and we deliver it as soon as we possibly can at no cost to you. But again, if you are unhappy with the pieces you chose, you have to understand you are responsible. Remember, all fabricators work differently so if you are using someone else, make sure they give you the opportunity to view the slab and pick your pieces. Do not pick your final product based on a sample.

    Hope this helps!
