What price group does Absolute black honed leather fall under?
Hello there. Please accept my deepest apologies for the late response. Our Absolute Black Honed is in the Double Silver price category.
what price group is the absolute black honed fall under?
Hi there. I understand how difficult the decision is and I know it's very important for you to make the correct choice. The Absolute Black in a honed finish is a very sleek and elegant selection. It would create a contemporary feel for the space and contrast the cabinets nicely. I think you're on the right track, that's for sure. You should look at the full slabs of all of the choices you've mentioned before making a final decision. Also, acquire samples to bring home with you that you can put against the cabinets in the kitchen light to see how you enjoy the various combinations. We just received a new shipment of two beautiful dark stones that you could perhaps also consider: Black Impala and Titanium. Here is a Comparison Table of my suggestions for your easy reference: http://www.marble.com/material... Hope this helps!
I am looking for kitchen and island counter. I have white (soft white but white not ivory) recessed panels for cabinets with a built in hutch with Benjamin Moore eagle rock (taupey gray) paint for hutch only. Medium brown oak floors. I've considered azul Aran, bianco antico/Lennon and am now to a honed absolute black or similar for consideration. This has been the hardest decision thru kitchen process. Advice? Thoughts? Need to decide!

Hi Derek. Yes I have photos on my phone that I can upload. We have a granite and marble restoration company coming-out next week so I'll post the pics with their thoughts on the marks. Still trying to find out from our what type of sealer was used. Will post thatbinfo too. Thanks.
Would it be possible for you to snap photos of these spots and upload them on here in a response? This will help in identifying the problem and offering a solution. Let me know!
We have absolute black in a leather finish that looks exactly like your photos above. We noted 3 light gray spots (about the size of a nickle coin each) that look as though a liquid of some kind was spilled, left on the granite and etched it. The granite is sealed. Our contractor (we are redoing our kitchen) is telling us that these 3 obvious spots are just a part of the natural stone. Any thoughts? Also, the spots were NOT there upon first install. Thank you.
Lets start with staining. If you seal the countertops upon installation (or your installers should do this) and then reseal once a year or so, then the countertops will not stain. Especially a granite such as the premium Absolute Black should not stain, because it has a very low porosity level (if it's REAL Absolute Black). In regard to fingerprints, if you are really worried about them, then just do not use a honed surface but a regular polished finish, then you can have peace of mind that fingerprints or anything won't sow. This is because the honed finished AB does have a tendency to show "smudges" a little, here and there, but overall the problem is very exaggerated. Hope this helps!
Yes, a standard 4 inch backsplash can usually be thinned from countertop thickness of 1 1/4" to 3/4".
I am looking at doing the honed black on my kitchen coutertops but I have seen several questions on watermarks and staining is it hard to maintain?
We would like to do our backsplash in 3/4 inch thickness. Can this be done?
