My cabinets are the same color as bottom picture on this page. I need help selecting granite. I would like something on the lighter side to off set my cabinets. I like some movement to the granite but do not want it to look too busy. I hope you can help!

Hi, Could you attached me the pictures of your countertop ? Then I will try to match it. However if you find Crema Astoria similar to yours, please visit one of our locations: http://www.marble.com/location... in order to compare the stone with your countertop. You can also take the sample home and then will be easier to decide if they are in the same colors.

I'm trying to find a reasonable match to a granite countertop of "Artic Moon"  (could be Arctic Moon ) to use for an island in the same kitchen. I know granite colors are often given different names, and while I can't find Artic Moon, your Crema Astoria looks close online. Could the two be the same color?

Hello Jodi. Please accept my apologies for the late response. We have plenty of Astoria in-stock at our Stroudsburg, PA facility!

  • Jodi W. 07:37PM, Jan 30 2013

Can you tell me if you still carry Astoria in the Stroudsburg location?

  • Marble.com - Derek 12:43PM, Jan 16 2013

Hello Karen. Sorry for the late response. I also agree that a subtle and warm granite would be most appropriate for your situation so it does not clash with the beautiful yet a little busy tiles that you have. I recommend the Astoria or Sunset Ivory. Also, if you want some greens, check out Golden Rock, although it has plenty of veins as well.

I like crema bordeaux for the swirls. I had picked out a granite first. I never got the name of the granite but it had grey, black and burgundy
    in
it with some swirling probably a shavarski ?? of some name. Then I
picked a floor tile that looked good with cherry cabinets and the sample
of granite or so I thought. The
italian porcelain tile in rosso has a lot a variation in it that I did not expect. The floor is in. Now that granite looks too dramatic and seems to want to vie for attention with
the floor. Cannot get a picture that shows the whole kitchen.  The
backsplash will be the same tile in smaller size as the floor. The
island and the L shape area between the refrigerator and wall oven will
be in the same granite. Mind you this kitchen has a cathedral ceiling in
tongue and groove cedar that is the same shade as the cherry cabinets
and a large skylight. So I do not want to create a black/brown cave. The
floor has some grey, some beige and some grey/green tiles as well as
the predominant rosso tiles. Many have reddish vein lines and some
black, tan specks.  Will get a new refrigerator and stove top at some
point but will stick with black appliances as I have now.  A family room and the
kitchen open onto each other and the flooring goes into the family
room.  The family room has a simple black fireplace with grey/black
slate tiles around the black metal opening.  The floor looks great with
the cherry cabinets.  But I think Crema Bordeaux is too dramatic.  Hubby
would like some green as a complement to the reddish tiles but I cannot see a
green that I think would work and most of what I see now as a
possibility is tame like crema astoria, sunset ivory, or a vyara gold
that it pretty muted but has some streaks that look like the rosso.  I
probably need to be pushed to think outside my normal comfort of beige. On the crema astoria I like the reddish swirls of #1300.  Any ideas

Hi Zee. We do not sell granite tiles. We are a countertop fabricator and installer.

  • Zee 02:25AM, Dec 31 2012

Are you offering tiles made from granite astoria?
I need about 40 sqft to built my backsplash.  Preffered size: 12"x12"x3/8", but if you have larger such as 12"x24" or 18"x18"x3/8' or 1/2" thick it is OK too?

  • Marble.com - Derek 06:48PM, Oct 19 2011 You can also use our Online Estimate Tool for an instant quote before you visit to get an idea on the pricing of these stones: www.marble.com/estimate
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:58PM, Oct 18 2011 The Stroudsburg, PA location only carries the Astoria while the Ridgefield Park, NJ location carries both stones. You can e-mail of fax the layout and measurements of your project to either location and they will be able to provide you with an estimate.
  • Barclak 12:49AM, Oct 18 2011 I would like to see Astoria and Coffee Imperial in person.  Are they at all of your locations?  If not, which locations have both.  I'm willing to travel to Ridgefield Park, NJ or Stroudsburg, PA
  • All Granite and Marble 06:46PM, Jun 3 2011 It is similar to Kashmir Gold, but you really have to see it in person to see the differences.
  • My 06:13PM, Jun 3 2011 looks like kashmere gold
  • Robyn 02:25PM, Apr 13 2011 That was I really love the sample, not ooze.....
    • All Granite and Marble 09:17AM, Apr 14 2011 Robyn: No problem ;-)
  • Robyn 02:12PM, Apr 13 2011 Hi. I was at the Danbury yard on Saturday. I brought a sample home which I was told is creme Astoria. I really ooze the sample but it looks so much whiter than the ones shown here. I am having whiite custom cabinets installed next week and put the sample against a door sample and it looks great! So, why the nudge difference in color on your websit? I know granite varies, but the piece I have looks like a white base color and the pics online show a tan granite. I want to make sure I get a piece like the sample I have. I'm going for a white kitchen with a very dark wood floor (espresso color). I wanted a marble look but didn't see anything I liked. Will creme Astoria work? Can it be honed and if so is there more maintenance/ chance for issues? Is there another granite I should consider? Thank you so much? Everyone there has been wonderful!!
    • All Granite and Marble 09:16AM, Apr 14 2011 Robyn : Each delivery, even of the same stone, is a different. In addition, it matters what part of the slab the sample is cut from. Do not worry as you will be able to pick the exact slab and exact cut from the slab that will be your new countertop. The Astoria is a beautiful choice that will offer a great contrast to your dark hardwood floor. We actually have a textured/honed Astoria at our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, it's called Astoria Satin.
