  • Marble.com - Derek 02:51PM, Aug 9 2011 In relation of application in a kitchen setting, it does not matter very much. The stone is recommended for kitchen use. The standard thickness of kitchen countertops on the East Coast is 1 1/4". For 3/4" thickness, there must be extra plywood support underneath the stone. Hope this helps.
  • Phylliis 08:24PM, Aug 7 2011 Two questions:

    1) I've seen Azul Imperiale in a NYC stoneyard, where they called it "quartzite" rather than granite. Which is it (more importantly, does it matter)?
    2) Is 3/4" too thin for a kitchen counter?
  • Arch Student 08:51AM, Mar 2 2011 What is the cost of this material per square foot?
