  • joanna 09:54PM, Feb 20 2011 I am using biscotti colored cabinets with a sage island, cream ceramic subway tile for a backsplash and a brazilian cherry hardwood floor. I was looking at the tropical broan granite for a countertop or typhoon bordeaux. walls will be painted SW safari ( a warm golden tan) what color would you choose for the granite?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:12AM, Feb 21 2011 Joanna: The Tropical Brown and Typhoon Bordeaux are two different directions. I'm leaning towards the Bordeaux as the veining in this stone will compliment your design nicely and bring the countertop to life.
  • Linda Carlow 08:23PM, Jan 25 2011 Would you please comment with regards to Radon hazard.
    • All Granite and Marble 01:51PM, Jan 26 2011 Linda Carlow: There is a lot of misinformation on the radon on granite issue. The companies that sell artificial stone are creating a “granite scare” tactic to sway away people from granite countertops to buy their product, but in reality there is much more radon being emitted from basement soil and the paint on your walls. Radon in granite countertops is a non-issue and the amounts are scientifically insignificant to ever pose a hazard to your health.
  • Jayne 05:37PM, Feb 21 2010 can you get this graite in floor tile? Is a sample piece available?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:50AM, Feb 22 2010 Jayne: Unfortunately we do not have floor tile.
  • jill 12:54PM, Nov 17 2009 Thanks for the lightning response! What would you use for a backsplash. I'm thinking something either traditionally shaped with subway shape...but would you go with a tumbled item, or a glass to add an updated look to a classic shape? Or go completely off the charts with one of the metallics? What would you suggest with this, pastel saltillo floor, off white cabinets and ORB hardware? thanks your site is amazing.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:56AM, Nov 18 2009 jill: You have to have fun with the backsplash, make it unique. You have have it simple and traditional like tumbled marble, or like you mentioned maybe some colorful glass inserts. You can let your imagination take course, just make sure it compliments your accent tones.
  • Jill 05:28PM, Nov 16 2009 how would this go with white/white glazed cabinets and saltillo floors? OR Bronze hardware... did I mention tiny kitchen? 40 sq ft of countertop
    • All Granite and Marble 09:03AM, Nov 17 2009 Jill: Yes.
