    Tammi,
It's definitely a solid looking color, I'm not too sure whether it would complement the Yellow River, which one do you have? Could you send over some pictures please?
    Best Regards,
    Peter

Is brown pearl a solid looking color to use for the perimeter of my kitchen on countertops to compliment "Yellow River" granite on my island countertop? My cabinets are cream with a tobacco glaze and island is stained tobacco.

Not at all Nancy, this Granite would provide a nice contrast to your kitchen cabinets as well as your appliances and floor. Because they are all light and this is a darker granite it would be a nice match!

I have Hickory cabinets white appliances. I am looking at the Brown Pearl. Med size kitchen U Shaped. Would this be to dark my floors are light maple?

  • Lori 03:42PM, Apr 12 2011 I have sunburst oak cabinets, light ceramic tile flooring and stainless steel appliances, and I'm trying to decide on the contertop color. I thought about the Brown Pearl but Im not sure if it would darken the kitchen. What do you think? is it a good contrast? what do you suggest for the backsplash?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:06AM, Apr 13 2011 Lori: I don't think it's too dark. If that is of concern for you, another option could be Tropical Brown or Giallo Vicenza. As for backsplash, a tumbled Mocha travertine tile is the way to go.
  • Renee C. 07:27AM, Dec 2 2010 Does Brown Pearl go by any other name? How can I find fabricators that you colaborate with? Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 11:28AM, Dec 3 2010 Renee C.: I'm not aware of any other names for Brown Pearl. We are a fabricator ourselves, please take a look at our Locations page.
  • Jackie 03:03PM, Mar 10 2010 Oops....My countertops are not oak/chestnut...my cabinets are!
  • Jackie 03:02PM, Mar 10 2010 My cabinets are oak/chestnut.
    • All Granite and Marble 03:40PM, Mar 10 2010 Jackie: It's okay! The Brown Peal is an excellent choice. It will contrast the cabinets but provide warmth in the kitchen, go for it!
  • Jackie 10:32AM, Mar 10 2010 We have oak/chestnut color countertops with a darker brown maple flooring, with cleanwash steel appliances...any color recommendations? We were looking at Brazilian Cocoa (which we can not seem to find) and looked at Brown Pearl. Any suggestions of what might look good?
    • All Granite and Marble 02:38PM, Mar 10 2010 Jackie: What color are your cabinets?
  • Pat 11:50AM, Oct 29 2009 We are replacing white corian counters. We have gold maple cabinets, light oak floors and white appliances. Would brown pearl work or will the appliances stick out? Appliances are new/energy star so we do not want to replace. If brown pearl isn't a good choice, any other suggestions for counter top/wall colors? Great site/thank you -
    • All Granite and Marble 12:52PM, Oct 29 2009 Pat: Go with a Giallo Ornamental(earth tone) or even an uba tuba(dark). The Uba Tuba has some tan fleck in it that goes well with the maple. In short, if it ties in with the cabinetry your white appliances will be fine.
  • Rhonda 06:03PM, Jun 5 2009 How can I get a sample of the Brown Pearl Granite
    • All Granite and Marble 09:32AM, Jun 6 2009 Rhonda: Stop by at our yard! We'll gladly give one to you.
  • Lis 10:19AM, Feb 20 2009 We have Golden Oak cabinet and golden oak floor, brick fire place, black appliances, would this work>
    • All Granite and Marble 01:38PM, Feb 20 2009 Lis: Absolutely! Excellent contrast.
  • Lisa 01:53PM, Dec 27 2007 We also have med-dark oak hardwood floors and dark emprador (brown granite with white/taupe veining) around the fireplace in the adjacent hearth room and black granite with white veining on fireplace in adjacent formal living room
  • Lisa 01:50PM, Dec 27 2007 We have white-wash oak cabinets, (which appear pink/yellow in color with white streaks) and have white corian counters. We would like to change island countertop only - which granite would you recommend
    • All Granite and Marble 12:09PM, Jan 3 2008 Lisa: Brown Pearl could be one of your better choices. In general I would recommend to go with a darker color to separate it from the corian counters.
