  • Tom P 10:34AM, Apr 30 2011 I am currently between this stone and verniz Tropical. My cabinets are Honey Glazed Maple with black piping along the edges. My floor is a uniquly colored french pattern travertine called Cappadocia which closley resembles the Verniz Tropical stone. My walls are Benjamin Moore Sierre Ridge. This stone really caught my eye. looking for some ideas / guidance. My concern is that the yellow in this stone may not go well, and may be diffcult to find a backsplash to tie it all together.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:46AM, May 4 2011 Tom P: I'm leaning towards the Verniz Tropical. Sounds like it would pick up your floor tile nicely and it's rich brown/golden veining will compliment the honey maple cabinetry but the lighter background of the stone also creates a contrast.
  • Patricia 05:29PM, Jan 7 2011 My choices are all over the map currently. I should let you know the kitchen walls walls are white and the dining room walls may be dove gray with white maple wainscoting and trim. My choices so far: Van Gogh, Yellow River, Royal Juparana, Persian Gold, Monet, Kashmir Gold, Lapidus,Gold, Madeira Gold, Kashmir Gold, Giallo Fantasia, Costa Blanca, Caesar Gold, and Bianco Gold. I am truly open to your suggestions.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:31AM, Jan 10 2011 Patricia: You have a very open design, any of those choices will offset the light cabinetry and wall color. Try to narrow it down to the one you like best and pick up a sample of the stone to bring home and see how it looks inside the kitchen.
  • Patricia 03:01PM, Jan 7 2011 We have a small galley kitchen with honey oak flooring, white cabinets and stainless appliances. We are looking for possibly two types of granite: one for the majority of countertop and one (more dramatic - really love Van Gogh) that will act as seating/counter area that opens into small, classic formal dining room. Open to your suggestions. The house is classic, elegant 1941 cape cod.
    • All Granite and Marble 03:42PM, Jan 7 2011 Patricia: What are the choices you've considered so far? For the main portion of the counter, some good suggestions are: Amba Gold, Giallo Napoleone, Golden Rock. The Van Gogh is a gorgeous choice for the seating area, it's an exotic and exclusive stone. Another option could be Crema Bordeaux.
  • Irfan 12:42AM, Dec 30 2010 I have Maple Thomasville cabinets, Plaza doorstyle, with a Brierwood finish. I have a U shaped kitchen with big back splash (115"W, 32"high for a 63" section) on the main wall and was looking for a pattern with a lot of movement. How would Costa Blanca look? What color(s )should the walls be? The floor is a lighter maple laminate.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:36AM, Dec 30 2010 Irfan: Costa Blanca is an excellent choice for your set-up, and will surely be the centerpiece of your kitchen as it has a rich pattern. For wall color, try Benjamin Moore "Barely Beige".
  • john fruehling 08:14PM, Aug 10 2010 We put costa blanca in our kitchen and every single person who sees it loves it. They say it has the "wow factor". We agree. It is absolutely beautiful
