  • Marble.com - Kinga 01:34PM, Feb 3 2012 Derek’s Tropical Brown suggestion is spot on! I have this granite on my desk and many customers that see it request to view the stone in a full slab as they are attracted to the rich tones, depth and the beautiful glittering mica.  Since it’s neutral and does not contain specific colors or lots of movement, you cannot go wrong using this stone as it will appeal to a larger amount of prospective buyers. The key is to make sure you love it and when you are ready to sell, the next family can see themselves in the space and design around the granite as they see fit. Always make sure to see this stone in full slab and bring a sample home. Let me know what you think!
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:08PM, Feb 1 2012 How about a happy medium? A brown shade of granite with depth and warmth would be quite appropriate. Take a look at Toffee, Copa Gold, Tropical Brown, and Giallo Antico. Let me know what you think!
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:56PM, Jan 31 2012 For a split face design on the backsplash, my favorite that I think would look very nice with the materials you've chosen is Mocha travertine. I've attached an image for your reference.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 04:49PM, Jan 31 2012 Have you considered hardwood floors or tile that resembles wood? For backsplash check out Crema Marfil Classico Split Face Mosaic, Fidenza Stone Glass and Baja Cream Random Mosaic. Keep in mind stacked and split face stone is difficult to clean and maintain because of all the nooks and carneys food and other dirt can get stuck in quite easily. Let me know what you think!
  • DRW6895 09:09PM, Jan 29 2012 I have light maple color cabinets (light golden color) in the kitchen, with stainless steel appliances. The floors are light/natural colored oak hardwood floors.   I would like suggestions regarding what granite colors would look good with this combination.  We have looked at UbaTuba which is very attractive, but we think it may make the kitchen look quite dark.   We have also looked at St. Cecilia & Giallo Napoleone, but we are not sure if they are dark enough for the light maple cabinets.   We are open to suggestions.  We would also like to sell the house in 3-5 years and we would appreciate advice regarding color selection as it relates to re-sale.   Thanks, DRW
  • Millihb 02:52AM, Jan 29 2012 Ok...so here is what I've decided. For my island(black, distressed finish) I have chosen Mombasa granite....For my perimeter cabinets(Cherry cabinets with burgundy stain with a cafe glaze) I have chosen Giallo Fiesta...the two granites compliment each other well and look great with cabinet and island color. Still I am struggling with my backsplash & floor. I really would like to use a stacked or ledge stone for my backsplash but choosing the right color combination is harder than I thought.  PLEASE HELP. Again
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:47PM, Jan 27 2012 Giallo Napoleone is a very appropriate choice that will compliment the warm tones in your design nicely, and contrast the dark cabinetry beautifully. Another option you could consider is Santa Cecilia Real.
  • Marble.com - Derek 09:27PM, Jan 26 2012 The Giallo Napoleone pictured on this page would look just fabulous with your set-up. A warm shade is what you need, also take a look at Kashmir Gold, and Santa Helena. Good luck!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 06:38PM, Jan 26 2012 If you want to add a boarder on the floor, a consistent and neutral stone like the New Venetian Gold used throughout the entire kitchen would be appropriate. If you do not want to overwhelm the space, you have to decide where to want to add the ‘pop’ - backsplash, floor, countertop or walls? If you like the Crema Bordeaux, stones like Astoria, Cafe Vera,  Cinamon and Milky White would complement the CB without overwhelming the space. I would use the Crema Bordeaux on the island and one of the other stones I suggested for the perimeter. Click here to see a comparison table http://www.marble.com/material... . Let me know what you think so far!
  • Millihb 05:27AM, Jan 26 2012 Two of the three colors you suggested I already have on my list of choices..So I suppose we are thinking alike...I will take another look at the Venetian Gold. I also like the Crema Bordeaux...but wonder if I might be a bit much. I need two choices of granite that will compliment each other....One for the perimeter cabinets and one for my Island. All my appliances are black...Keep in mind that my cooktop is located on the island. Also, if I were to add a border to the floor would it be too much or overkill? And do you have any suggestions of a stacked stone color that would compliment any of these granites?
  • kj3 03:48PM, Jan 25 2012 I am in the processing of upgrading kitchen.  Have painted ebony dark brown cabinets, hard wood floor in a chestnut brown and am thinking of Giallo Napolean for a warm brown and beige touch.  the kitchen is small and very well lit.  The wall colors are like a warm orange.  Do you have any suggestions?
  • Marble.com - Kinga 01:28PM, Jan 25 2012 Have you seen any stones you like so far? A warm Giallo Napole, Santa Cecilia Real and New Venetian Gold granite paired with Etolia porcelain tile would spice up your design and finish off the space. Let me know what you think!
  • Millihb 09:11PM, Jan 24 2012 I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen. My cabinets are cherry with burgundy stain with a coffee glaze. My center island is black distressed wood. I am looking to use a stacked stone backsplash but am confused as to what granite colors to use. Any suggestions on granite colors and flooring. Removing hardwoods and replacing with porcelain tile.
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:09PM, Jan 13 2012 The Giallo Napoleone and Santa Cecilia Real are more creme/beige based with neutral, soft tones and occasional burgundy specks, with less golden highlights than, say, New Venetian Gold. So I would recommend one of those for your design. The backsplash also sounds wonderful, it seems that you're on the right track. It's crucial you look at the full slabs of your granite choices, not just small samples, to make your final decision and draw an accurate comparison between the choices. Good luck!
  • Marcia 06:01PM, Jan 13 2012 Hi  Updating my kitchen.  Already have dark antique pine cabinets and white tile flooring.  Like the Giallo Napoloneone and Giallo Ornamentale and have seen these two small samples at the dealers showroom but am uncertain as to which one would look better.   Also thought New Venetian Gold might look nice too. I really don't want a lot of yellow on the countertops. I also saw some off white (creamy) crackle subway tile to use as a backsplash and thought that might look nice with either choice of granite countertop.  I'm really trying to keep a neutral tone in this kitchen as this adjoins my dining room   What do your think?

    Marcia
  • Marble.com - Derek 12:54PM, Oct 27 2011 My recommendations are choices such as Bianco Antico, Sunset Ivory, Delicatus. I've created a Comparison Chart for your convenience: http://www.marble.com/material...
  • Marble.com - Kinga 03:49PM, Oct 25 2011 I really like the above pictured stone for your setup. Also check out the Astoria, Kashmir White and Bianco Romano. Let me know what you think!
  • Goldyjess 04:09AM, Oct 24 2011 Hello- I am remodeling my small kitchen with maple- whickey black cabinets, my floor is dark cheery. I want to brighten up the kitchen with putting light granite but I am not a fan of any granite with gold in it. What granite and backsplash do you recommend?
  • Marble.com - Derek 07:15PM, Sep 27 2011 The Giallo Napoleone is a bit warmer than the Giallo Ornamental, and therefore may be a little more suitable for your design to go against the white truffle cabinetry. Is it too late to change the order? If so, do not worry as Giallo Ornamental is quite similar and will also compliment your design adequately.
  • Lynn 07:50PM, Sep 26 2011 Do you think Giallo Ornamental is to dull for my kitchen?   I have in harmony hardwood floors, and white truffle cabinets with stainless appliances... Would this color scheme be complementary or is there a better choice of granite.  I was thinking about Giallo Napoleon.
  • Lynn Terhune 05:41PM, Sep 26 2011 I just ordered white truffle cabinets, and ordered Giallo Ornamental.  I think I should have went with Giallo Napoleone.   What are your thoughts??
  • Marble.com - Derek 03:32PM, Jun 20 2011 The Giallo Napoleone pictured here is a stunning granite that would create the clean and open look you're looking for. But the Tahoe is warmer and may create a more inviting atmosphere. The Juparana Gold as too many orange undertones.
  • Mslabella 01:40AM, Jun 18 2011 Hi. Redoing our kitchen. We have white (mable) cabinets, white island and white oak floors. Considering Juparana Gold, Tahoe of Giallo Napoleone? Looking for a clean look -but not sterile. We have a lot of natural light in the kitchen. What do you think?
  • Julie 10:46PM, May 11 2011 I'm considering Giallo Napoleon for a kitchen countertop, paired with Cherry chocolate cabinets, stainless appliances, and a white oak floors. Would this color scheme be complementary or is there a better choice of granite?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:35PM, May 12 2011 Julie: That's a wonderful choice. Another option could be Ouro Brasil.
  • Shavaun 06:08PM, Apr 28 2011 Those are beautiful, but I'm wondering if a granite with less movement might work better. We are working with a very small space. Thanks again for all your help!
    • All Granite and Marble 09:44AM, Apr 29 2011 Shavaun : For softer and calmer recommendations, please take a look at Astoria, Amba Gold, Tropical Brown, Veneziano Brasil.
  • Shavaun 09:11PM, Apr 27 2011 What granite choices coordinate well with giallo napoleon? we have white cabinets, beigh-green, cream floors, and this granite as our main counters but want something a little different for our small island (3X3). Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 02:59PM, Apr 28 2011 Shavaun : Do you want a stone with a rich pattern and movement to spice up the island? If so, I recommend Amazon Tiger, Hurricane, Ibere Crema Bordeaux. Let me know your thoughts.
  • Karolyn 09:59AM, Apr 20 2011 The granite will be in a large room that encompasses the kitchen and living area in a cabin type home over looking the river. I have seen crema bordeaux and it is beautiful, but will it's colors limit me in decorating the rest of the large room? Thanks,
    • All Granite and Marble 12:11PM, Apr 21 2011 Karolyn: The Crema Bordeaux varies very much between each delivery, and has various colors in it so I don't see how this may limit the decorating and design aspects of the room. I suggest to bring a sample of the stone home and see how it looks in the space with all the other accents. Good luck.
  • Karolyn 09:43AM, Apr 20 2011 What granite choices would look good for a kitchen that will have off white cabinets and an island that has a black base? Crema Bordeaux? Giallo Napoleon?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:55AM, Apr 20 2011 Karolyn: I'm leaning towards Crema Bordeaux. It's a pattern full of life that will offset your light perimeter cabinets and compliment your darker island.
  • Scott 10:06AM, Mar 16 2011 Thank you for your recommendation. I neglected to mention before the choice for backsplash. Our original plan was to use a tumbled diamond shaped traverstine tile. The color has been a difficult decision. Do you think the Noce color would be a good option for the Santa Cecilia granite you mention and our cabinet color?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:24AM, Mar 17 2011 Scott: A tumbled Noce travertine tile as backsplash is exactly what I would suggest for your design, go for it!
  • Scott 11:04AM, Mar 15 2011 HI, Would like to get your opinion on a granite choice. We have maple cabinets with a maple coffe glaze stain, white ceramic tile floor, and black sink and appliances. Would the Saint Cecilia or Giallo Napoleon Gold be good choices? Or should we be looking at more of a brown granite? Any advice would be appreciated.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:06AM, Mar 16 2011 Scott: Excellent choices. I'm leaning towards the Santa Cecilia Real for your cabinet color.
  • Sandra 07:20PM, Jan 2 2011 My kitchen is a medium oak with just a little lighter oak flooe. The only window is over the sink and a french door with two windows at the end of the kitchen. The kitchen is long. I am installing better lighting but want to still have a warm comfortable setting. Any granite recommendations?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:20AM, Jan 3 2011 Sandra: Take a look at Tropical Brown and Tan Brown. These choices have contrast to offset the light oak in your design and may create the warmth you're looking for. In addition, for some lighter options please look at Santa Cecilia and New Venetian Gold.
  • janine 03:54PM, Nov 22 2010 went back and looked at the napoleane and it was too peachy. are you familiar with carmelo ornamental? Now i am between that and a santa celilia (more brown slab). am looking for a warm look. oak floors and cream cabinets. thanks.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:26AM, Nov 23 2010 Janine: We have a stone called Giallo Ornamental. Take a look at that. The name "Carmelo" we do not have.
  • janine 12:30PM, Nov 20 2010 hi. am redoing kitchen counters. have white cabinets (but would like to go with more of a cream or almond?), have light/medium oak floor, and will be getting stainless fridge. am looking at giallo napoleane, carmello ornamental, and giallo napoli. what do you suggest? and what color cabinets and walls to go with it? thanks! anpolai
    • All Granite and Marble 10:19AM, Nov 22 2010 Janine: I'm leaning towards the Giallo Napoleone, the pattern is sharp unlike the Giallo Ornamental which may look a little dull.
  • carol 12:57PM, Nov 11 2010 What would be the best color for cherry cabinets and beige walls?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:38AM, Nov 12 2010 Carol: I recommend to look at Kashmir Gold, New Venetian Gold, and Giallo Ornamental. These warm colors will offset the cherry wood nicely.
  • Stephanie 06:50AM, Nov 7 2010 Hello, Can you plese recommend a granite color for Thomasville maple cabinets in a briarwood stain? The flooring is ceramic tile, mostly white with light veins of blue/grey and tan. I was looking a Giallo Napoleon. Thank you!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:29AM, Nov 8 2010 Stephanie: The Giallo Napoleone is a great choice! Some similar options you should consider are Santa Cecilia, and New Venetian Gold.
  • kathleen mcdonnell 04:48PM, Oct 13 2010 I am installing expresso cabinets. Is Giallo Napoleone a good choice with this?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:36AM, Oct 15 2010 Kathleen Mcdonnell: I think Giallo Napoleone is a great choice and will create a good contrast. Other suggestions Giallo Antico and Florence Gold.
  • Jeanne 12:41PM, Oct 4 2010 I am remodeling my kitchen. My cabinets will be an off-white with an island in cherry. I am going for a warm look, which would you recommed, the Santa Cecelia, Giallo Napoleone or the Ouro Brasil?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:33AM, Oct 5 2010 Jeanne: I'm leaning towards the Giallo Napoleone pictured above. It has the warmest tone out of the three choices.
  • Shelia 01:22AM, Sep 10 2010 I have the Giallo Napoleone granite with the burgundy flecks installed in my kitchen. My cabinets are cherry and the floors are Brazalian cherry. My walls are silver sage. I can't decide what backsplash to go with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:17AM, Sep 10 2010 Shelia: I recommend a tumbled botticino marble tile.
  • Barbara 10:57PM, Aug 27 2010 Do you sell tiles in granite - or just the slabs
    • All Granite and Marble 07:51AM, Aug 30 2010 Barbara: We are a fabricator of granite countertops. We do offer a small selection of tile, you can take a look here: http://www.marble.com/materials/tiles
  • shirley 10:13PM, Aug 11 2010 I am considering Giallo Napoleone counters, our cabnets are oak in a fruitwood stain. Would this granite work with our cabnets? Or any suggestions. Thank you
    • All Granite and Marble 10:30AM, Aug 13 2010 Shirley : Great choice. Will create warmth and a timeless feel. Another option could be New Venetian Gold.
  • Anna 10:39PM, May 25 2010 Thank you. We'll surely consider this option. Thanks once again.
  • Anna 06:07PM, May 24 2010 Hey you have a great variety of granite here. We recenlty installed a giallo napoleone against the honey toned maple cabinets. Well its not that bad looking, but the contrast isn't enough. We are now going to do a backsplash. Could you please suggest what color tiles would suit .And by the way we have 18*18 honey almod porcelin tile with 1*1 brown small tile inlay.Any suggestion is greatly appreciated
    • All Granite and Marble 08:59AM, May 25 2010 Anna: Perhaps a glass mosaic with earth tone inserts for some contrast and warm colors.
  • Lisa 04:41PM, Mar 4 2010 Great suggestion. I looked it up and it looks lovely. Thanks for all the help and guidance you give us!
    • All Granite and Marble 05:07PM, Mar 4 2010 Lisa: No problem :-)
  • Lisa 04:15PM, Mar 4 2010 what color of paints best compliment this stone? I have it going on cinnamon colored cabinents>
    • All Granite and Marble 04:28PM, Mar 4 2010 Lisa: I'd go with a light, neutral beige. Try Benjamin Moore "Honeyed Almond".
  • Lori 09:03AM, Dec 18 2009 Thanks so much - any others you would suggest that I may have overlooked?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:34AM, Dec 18 2009 Lori: Well, the stones you have picked are very similar to each other but if you want to consider adding more contrast look at Baltic Brown.
  • Lori 03:02PM, Dec 17 2009 Remodeling our kitchen and installing maple cabinets with ginger stain, ss appliances, tumbled ceramic tile floor beige/gray tones. I like Giallo Napolean, New Venetian Gold and Santa Cecelia (in that order). Thoughts on best choice?
    • All Granite and Marble 04:18PM, Dec 17 2009 Lori: I'm leaning towards New Venetian Gold, it's warmer (less gray).
  • Sheila 02:42PM, Oct 23 2009 What price range is Giallo Napoleone? (ie: silver, double silver, etc.) Thanks
    • All Granite and Marble 03:45PM, Oct 23 2009 Sheila: Double Silver.
  • Jeff 03:01PM, Aug 25 2009 Hi Moderator! I am redoing my kitchen for resale, so I'm trying to stay neutral. Small galley kitchen with no natural light. I'm thinking natural oak cabinets, Giallo Napoleane countertop, stainless steel sink/appliances, and Svelte Sage walls. Should I go with a darker countertop? What about porcelain tile in a camel color for the kitchen/foyer?
    • All Granite and Marble 04:10PM, Aug 25 2009 Jeff: Giallo Napoleane would be work be fine, you don't want to go too dark as the lightning is not great.
  • Karen 09:15AM, Jul 26 2009 Have antique white vanity in bath, travertine beige with some grey graining for tile floor/shower. Want granite with brown, offwhtie and grey. was shown this, giallo ornamental and have you heard of troy brown/ don't want too yellow, more on the grey side. your thoughts?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:29AM, Jul 27 2009 Karen: I think Napoleone would look work better with white cabinetry than Ornamental, but make sure to put a sample of wood next to stone to see if you like the look. Good luck!
  • Deborah? 09:42PM, Jul 5 2009 I am curious as to what paint colors anyone has used with this granite in a Kitchen. Thank you.
  • julia 09:52AM, May 18 2009 Hi, we're putting in distressed/handscraped hickory floor and walnut stained maple cabinets. We're torn between G. napoleone and Kashmir Gold for the countertop. Any thoughts? Thank you.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:37AM, May 18 2009 julia: Kashmir Gold has more of an organic feel to it.
  • Diane 07:07PM, Mar 17 2009 I bought maple toffee kitchen cabinets and am trying to decide on a granite. The room gets alot of light and is about 250 sq ft. Would Giallo Napoleone work or not enough contrast. Please suggest other granite colors.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:16AM, Mar 18 2009 Diane: It works quite well. It would create a rather toned down look, but still stand its own against the cabinets.
  • Gabriela 08:33AM, Mar 9 2009 our cabinets are "Antique biscotti with Taupe Glaze" from Kraftmaid and we are going witgh this stone. We think it's a great combo. Our center island is "cognac" from Kraftmaid and we are going with this same stone there too.
    • All Granite and Marble 01:59PM, Mar 9 2009 Gabriela: Nice contrast on the island.
  • Lori 08:25PM, Jan 20 2009 What color cabinets would you do with this giallo napoleon? I want some shade of brown.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:11AM, Jan 22 2009 Lori: You're on the right path. I could see it with a mocha stained maple, or just walnut or birch cabinets. Mahogany stained cherry might not be bad either.
  • Kathleen LaMacchia 11:19AM, Jul 17 2008 I am interested in Giallo Napoleon...do you sell to other fabricators? I am in nassau county ny
    • All Granite and Marble 06:50PM, Jul 17 2008 Kathleen LaMacchia: Sorry, we do not resell our stone.
  • kathy 02:37PM, Apr 24 2008 nice color
  • me 03:36PM, Feb 20 2008 do you have any similiar to gaillo castelo or gaillo caldera? I have cherry cabinets with a chocolate glaze and old chicago brick floors.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:20AM, Feb 21 2008 me: Not sure what these look like.
  • sam 04:12PM, Feb 10 2008 thank you for your response but maybe you could help me find a granite in the same or similar coloring but with more movement
    • All Granite and Marble 10:33AM, Feb 15 2008 sam: My pleasure Sam! Check out Golden Oasis (615) and Desert Sand (125).
  • sam 01:06AM, Jan 30 2008 my kitchen is in maple stained one shade darker than natural-i like the giallo napoleano 154 but with more movement what is your suggestion?
    • All Granite and Marble 05:05PM, Feb 7 2008 sam: Giallo's don't really have much movement. This is as good as it gets.
  • Kat 09:37PM, Oct 5 2007 Is this similar to Santa Cecilia (yellow? I am looking for something with movement and not too many speckles to go with cherry cabinets and cream color island. Any other suggestions? Thanks :)
    • All Granite and Marble 09:29AM, Oct 9 2007 Kat: Yes, it is similar.
