Have naural cherry cabinets(have redden with age), black appliances, medium hardwood floors. First thought I'd go with dark countertops (ubatula, Antique Butterfy) ,however, when I brought home samples they looked too dark. Now leaning toward Venetian Gold or GalloOrnamental. Would like to install garnite composite sink ,preferably black. (would opt for beige if necessary.) Suggestions?

Beth: You're on the right track. Another option that I think would look gorgeous is the Santa Cecilia Real.

mary: You should Take a sample home of the Ornamental and Ubatuba to see how it looks like inside the kitchen next to the cabinets. I'm still leaning towards the Ubatuba to contrast the honey cabinets and white appliances, but since you have no natural light and it's a small space it might make the kitchen too dark. If this is the case, then go with the Ornamental.

I should probably give you more information. The floors are a porcelain travertine look tile, the appliances are white, the cabinets a honey oak and the backsplash is painted a tomotoe red. There is no natural light, and it is a small space. I can get a good price on the following stones: Black pearl, tan brown, giallo ornamental and ubatuba. Any suggestions would help.

I have a very small condo kitchen, with no window. The floor is travertine, the cabinets a honey oak. I can get either ubatuba or giallo ornamental for the counters. What do you recommend?

We have cream colored cabinets, mocha(called cafe)tile floors and are installing giallo ornamental granite. can not decide if we should do a light backsplash or match the floor since the cabinets & granite are creamy colored. Also was are a beige color?? Please help

Angie: I'm leaning towards a darker backsplash, try tumbled noce travertine tile.

We are getting natural cherry cabinets with a dark brown glaze, an espresso island, and ss appliances. Was wondering if either the Giallo Ornamental or the Giallo Fiorito was a decent choice? So hard to tell the differences. Thanks!

Kelly: I'm leaning towards the Giallo Ornamental, it will provide excellent contrast.

The house we've moved into has reddish oak hardwood flooring and Champagne Oak kitchen cabinets. The room is currently painted a subtle soft yellow. The appliances are bisque. This room does not have alot of natural light and tends to be dark. Would Giallo Ornamental be a good choice for a countertop? If not, I would love suggestions.

Laura: Excellent choice to brighten up the kitchen, another suggestion is Tahoe or Santa Cecilia.

I have Oak Cabinets and Giallo Ornamental countertops, what color ceramic tile would you recommend in my kitchen?
All Granite and Marble - MODERATOR at 08:26AM, Mar 11 2010.
Stephanie: Try the Daltile "Dorado" or "Cafe" line of ceramic tile, it will blend in well.

Cabinets are cream with mocha glaze, island seinna, ss app. and light aged oak floors. would like giallo oranamental. i want a ligh airy look. will this work?
All Granite and Marble - MODERATOR at 05:02PM, Mar 2 2010.
Pat: Yes. The Giallo Ornamental will contrast the sienna island and compliment the creme perimeter.
