• Marble.com - Derek 03:39PM, Dec 28 2011 My best, most honest suggestion for you would be to acquire a sample of the Giallo Venezia and bring it home. Put it against the cabinets in the kitchen light and see how you like the combination, and if any of the said "imperfections" show. You can even seal the sample to make it a more realistic experiment. I do not think any overwhelming imperfections should show, unless it's a low/commercial quality slab. Make sure to pick the slab you wan to use for the countertop in-person and inspect it to make sure it's up to your standards. Only use a fabricator that deals with premium quality slabs. Good luck!
• Maggpie01 01:03AM, Dec 28 2011 My cabinets are white pearl with ginger glaze and have all black appliances.  We picked gallio venezanio but someone said that granite shows all imperfections with the sun.  We have lots of sunshine in our kitchen,  Any other suggestions?  Find it hard to believe if it is sealed would show that much of imperfections.

• Marble.com - Derek 04:23PM, Aug 5 2011 Susan, you've already answered the most crucial design question by being unsure if the Vicenza combination will provide enough contrast. You're right to be cautious, because as Kinga said, we don't agree it's enough to offset the color of your light cinnamon maple cabinetry. Instead, a darker color such as  Amazon Tiger with it's beautiful, golden, rich veins would be perfect. If that's too busy, then you can also consider choices such as Amarello Boreal and Tropical Brown. For backsplash, my ideas are in the direction of a glass and stone subway tile mosaic. I've attached an image for reference, it's "SomerTile" brand. Good luck!
• Marble.com - Kinga 11:47AM, Aug 4 2011 Unfortunately, the Giallo Venezia wouldn’t work well with your cabinets as the colors would blend together and you will definitely lack contrast. I think you should consider going lighter like Giallo Napoleone, Astoria and the Santa Cecilia Real or darker stones like Bahia Brown, Coffee Imperial and the Green Gold. For backsplash, a timeless classic like a tumbled marble with accent tiles would look lovely and tie the space together.

• Cheryl 08:02AM, Sep 28 2010 Hi, currently my island is in the giallo venezia granite and I was thinking of doing the perimeter countertop in crema bordeaux. My cabinets are a medium to light cherry and all stainless steel appliances. Do you think those 2 granites would look ok? If not any other suggestions for the countertop? Also a backsplash? Thx!

• Jen 04:07PM, Mar 21 2010 Working area of kitchen is U-Shaped. Opposite area is eating area that has large bay window and walls painted SW Svelte Sage. Cabinets are washed oak (pinkish hue). Black stove & dishwasher, alabaster fridge. Handles on cabinets are polished brass. I am leaning towards Giallo Veneziano or Venetian. But I'm afraid that some of the stones might have too much peach in them (gold I guess). Can you give some recommendations for me? Backsplash will be tumbled marble. Thank you.
