It's difficult and messy to have a whole countertop sanded once it's installed. I'm not sure how much it could help, but you could consider purchasing and using a product such as this:

• Sandie 06:15AM, Jan 30 2012 I have this granite and love it.  I have noticed that it has little area's in it that are pitted though.  Is there a way to make this granite completely smooth and high gloss by sanding it?  It was sanded when we bought it, but still had pits in it.  I seem to be noticing more all of the time.  Thank you - Sandie

I stopped at a small granite dealer in my area today.  I saw one called Giallo Veneziano and loved it.  I suspect that they get the slabs from your company but I didn't see this on your website.  Do you carry Giallo Veneziano or do you call it something else?

• Robin 02:00AM, Dec 28 2011 I have honey oak cabinets and white backsplash.  I also have natural oak floors.  I need some contrast, but I don't want anything too dark and certainly not too light.  I'm looking at giallo vicenza 170 - something with brown, gold and black.  Also, I'm wondering how you think it may go with my white tile  backsplash.  I really don't want to change the backsplash too...what do you think?  Should I try to get something with some white in it to match the backsplash?

I am really struggling choosing a lower cost granite for the counter tops. We would like to stay in a medium color for the counters. Right now I am leaning toward Giallo Fiorito or Giallo Vincenza. What are your thoughts?

I think the Vicenza (depending on the batch) may be a little too dark while the Cecilia will add the right amount of warmth and radiance to your design for a balance look. • Teresa 04:14PM, Oct 1 2011 We are remodeling our bathroom and have chosen Marazzi Aida Gold for our bathroom floor and shower. Our cabinets are honey oak. The walls will be changed from a yellow-gold to a taupe brown because the sinks will be ivory and the faucets and accessories will be Delta venetian bronze. We originally chose Santa Cecilia for the granite counter tops and bench in the shower but are now leaning toward the Giallo Vicenza. What do you think?
• Marble.com - Derek 04:26PM, Jun 7 2011 Giallo Vicenza is a wonderful choice that is sharper and not washed out as the Giallo Ornamental. Some other options could be Giallo Fiorito or Giallo Napoleone. All of these choices look warm against honey oak cabinetry. Good luck!

At the stoneyard, we originally picked Giallo Ornamental, but when we brought the sample home, it just sort of "blended in with" the cabinets, which are golden oak. The floor is a light tan travertine looking ceramic tile, and the appliances are white. Our sink is a black/dark grey granite composite. We want the highlight to be on the new counters and let them be the "Wow!" factor in our kitchen. Would Giallo Vicenza provide us with more contrast, but without going overboard? (For the backsplash we chose a light tumbled travertine tile, but it will be installed with the granite counters.) One more thing- We are on a budget, so we can't get into the more expensive "exotic" granites. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Other granite color selections that would work well with our kitchen setup would be helpful, too.) Thank you!

I have vicenza with brown/black/peachy tones on countertops and want to add an 4' wide x 24 island (maple auburn glaze)that will be a deeper color than my cabinets (maple coffee glaze). I went darker on the cabinets 4 island to make it pop. Should I stick with the vicenza (if I can still find same color combo) or what kind of solid granite would you suggest? Floor is very light beige travertine with fine brown veins & counter backsplash is tumbled travertine with occasional dark brown metal inserts). I was thinking black galaxy with copper flecks to make it pop. Is this too dark? Appliances are stainless - stove & DW are SS with black. My hubby says you guys did us right the last time - please help

I feel the Black Galaxy will be a wonderful combination for the Brown Vicenza and you can use those two together. Are you still having doubts? Some other choices could be Kosmus and Cosmic Black.

The finished kitchen pictures and videos are more accurate because they represent the color tone of the granite inside a kitchen with the appropriate light. The slab pictures are taken outside in the sun.

For tiles I was thinkging beige and Benjamin Moore Marblehead gold. I would love to hear your suggestions since the only thing I have right now are just the cabinets. I am horrible with matching colors.

This looks more golden than the very salmon/orangey colored tones in the brown vicenza. I really prefer the more golden/brown look rather than orange/pink and want the counters to pop so not sure if something darkler would be better? Would prefer not to go with Uba tuba as you see it everywhere! Plus any idea on paintcolor to compliment cabinets & countertop.

Could you please explain this to me. I would also like to know what your thoughts are on this color with Oak cabinets and oak floors. The oak colors do have a contrast--cabinets a bit darker than the floors.
  • All Granite and Marble 09:24AM, Dec 4 2009 CL: The pictures of Giallo Vicenza are all the same stone, it is the various batches that we have delivered and they have differences. This color will look good with Oak but you may want to opt for more contrast -- perhaps Tropical Brown.

Too brown?. Our first choice was Golden Crystal, but I don't see it on your web site. I don't know if it goes by another name. It is quite more expensive.

When we went to the granite yard, this was one of the granites the salesgirl showed us. We liked it, but not a well as our first choice. This one is considerably less expensive.
