    Excellent choice, Myrna.

Hello, the stone isn't priced by color but more by rarity. This less there is in the world the more it costs. I know you said you didn't want burgundy dots but a stone I think would compliment your cabinets and floor would be Kashmir White. I've seen it used in a similar kitchen to yours and it really looked great.

Forgot to mention, I like white or cream and do not like the burgundy spots in stone any help is appreciated, and no clue on backsplash we want it light with the dark cabinets

looking for a white granite to complement both espresso cabinets and cream cabinets with a cocoa glaze. The floor will be a ceramic floor that looks like wood, rustic looking cinnamon what granite would you recommend. Is it true that white is more expensive, and since it has quartz, it is not as durable, a softer stone? Just need a direction, I do not want a stone that can be cracking nor is budget not a concern. thank you for any input

The Golden Riviera surely does have  the right color tones to complement your design nicely. However, my recommendations for you to check out would be Blue Canyon, Colonial Cream, and Juparana Vyara.

I have dark cabinets for my kitchen and I picked up marble and glass mosiac tiles for backsplash. I would like a granite that goes with the grey (and slightly blue-y from the glass) undertones, but something that has a bit of warmth. Would you suggest this granite, or would you have another suggestion?

  • Marble.com - Derek 09:37PM, Feb 15 2012 I recommend to take a look at Colonial Cream, New Venetian Gold, and Sanguine C. Also, do you like colors with movement and veins or more consistent, speckled pattern?
  • Randy_peterson 08:14PM, Feb 15 2012 Hi,
I am looking for a granite counter top suggestion that would be used with a medium colored cherry cabinet. We are thinking of a medium to lighter base color with veins.  Many pictures show a 'gold' granite with this color cabinet. Do you have any suggestions?
    Thanks.
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:04PM, Jan 17 2012 The Golden Riviera is a solid choice for a white kitchen as it's a soft and neutral color with golden highlights for warmth. Some other recommendations that will fit your design criteria are: Colonial Cream, New Colonial Gold, and Atlantis. You should look at the full slabs in-person before making a final decision. Good luck!
  • Dawn 12:31AM, Jan 14 2012 Would like to use this in an all white glossy kitchen. Thoughts? Any other suggestions?
  • Marble.com - Derek 07:26PM, Sep 27 2011 Golden Riviera is rather muted but a safe and effective choice. For similar options that are a little richer, try New Colonial Dream and Typhoon Bordeaux.
  • Julia 11:21AM, Sep 27 2011 I HAVE OAK KITCHEN CABINETS, WHITE APPLIANCES AND BEECH WOOD FLOORING. WOULD THIS GRAITE GO WELL? DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

  • marija 03:59PM, Mar 2 2010 my husband and I are planning to purchase the Golden Riviera granite. We were told it is from Italy, we will have expresso colored cabinets. Can you please tell me more about this granite and if you think it would go well with the dark cupboards and a golden oak flooring. Thank you marija
    • All Granite and Marble 05:05PM, Mar 2 2010 marija: Golden Riviera is an excellent choice for your set-up. It will contrast the cabinets but compliment the oak floors. The rich veins will bring life into your kitchen. Go for it!
