I'm a strong advocate of contrast between the counters and cabinets to offset the color tone between these two aspects. Something a little darker, such as Brown Alpine, Golden Shadow S, or Kosmus could be more appropriate. Let me know how you feel about this.

It's an effective yet very warm and inviting contrast. For the backsplash, my recommendations are options such as Tumbled Rhine travertine or Mocha Split Face Versailles Mosaic travertine. Let me know what you think about my thoughts so far.
