  • Marble.com - Derek 06:34PM, Oct 27 2011 We are indeed very sorry that you were affected by hurricane Irene and hope for a full recovery in the home. Kashmir White is an appropriate choice for the look you're trying to achieve, but also colors such as Bianco Romano and our new addition River Valley (http://www.marble.com/blog/riv... would fit the design very nicely. Let me know your thoughts!
  • Marble.com - Derek 12:41PM, Oct 27 2011 I'd lean toward a color such as Astoria or Sunset Ivory. These granite's have warm creme highlights and would compliment the color tones in your cabinets nicely.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 11:58AM, Oct 26 2011 Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear you were hit by the hurricane :(   Hopefully no one got hurt! If you are going for a nautical feel, a Kashmir White with the blue-grey veins, as opposed to the creamy shipment that's also available, will definitely give you the look you are after. Also take a look at Ambrosia White, Ilhabella and Blue Pearl. Out of these three suggestions, I’m really leaning towards the Blue Pearl. It would look fantastic against your white cabinets and surely provide you with the nautical look you want to achieve. Let me know how you feel about these suggestions!
  • Barbara 11:00PM, Oct 25 2011 Hurricane Irene surged right into our house.  Now we are redoing the whole main floor, which is the living room, kitchen, bathroom  and office/den.  We are on a canal (oh...that's why we flooded!) so we're going for a nautical feel.  The house is very dark and we really need to lighten it up.  We are choosing maple floors and white kitchen cabinets.  I am considering Kashmir White (a blue-ish slab) for the kitchen counters.  I absolutely do not want creamy... I want cool white not warm white!  What do you think?
  • Marble.com - Kinga 01:08PM, Oct 25 2011 The Kashmir White will not have the buttery cream color you are after; however, the Kashmir Gold definitely fits that description. For other beautiful and warm suggestions check out Santa Cecilia Real, Santa Cecilia, Super Gold and Yellow River. Let me know what you think about these suggestions!
  • Dacollelo 02:52AM, Oct 24 2011 Hello, I hope you can help me out!  We are remodeling our kitchen, dining room and living room.  Our new cabinets are maple with a light cherry stain.  I am looking at Kahhmir white or Ivory gold for the counter tops.  I really wanted to have a warm buttery cream yellow in the kitchen.  The kitchen is open to dining room so that would have to have the same color.  The celings are cathedral so you can see into the living room so I need a color for that to.  Any suggestions?  Not sure if wood floor would be okay for the kitchen we are putting it in the dining and living room area?
  • Marble.com - Derek 07:09PM, Sep 20 2011 I'd use Benjamin Moore "Antique White" for the cabinets for a classic white color, and a subtle & soft gray for the wall color, perhaps Benjamin Moore "Ice Cubed Silver" or "Gray Cloud".
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:49PM, Sep 20 2011 We don't currently carry Kashmir White at the Stroudsburg facility, it's available in our Ridgefield Park, NJ location. I recommend to call the PA sales office and inquire about the lighter colors, as I unfortunately don't have a list of the stock at that facility. If possible, your best bet would be to actually visit the location and look at the full slabs in-person. You can bring free samples home with you.
  • Rastin 07:41PM, Sep 19 2011 We just installed Kashmir White counter which is very pretty but our cabinets look dingy with it and our wall color BR Pewter Revere looks dingy as well. Suggestions for brighter cabinet color and wall color?
  • Laura 12:31PM, Sep 19 2011 Do you have Kashmir White or any other white or light granites at the Stroudsburg location?
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:24PM, Sep 13 2011 To be honest with you, usually a darker and warmer granite color combination is used with a natural maple cabinet. It's best that you look at the full slabs in-person and put a cabinet door sample against the slab to see how you like the combination. I'm afraid that these two shades may clash. How about a granite in the green tones? Take a look at Butterfly, and Costa Esmeralda. Let me know what you think.
  • rAustin 11:16PM, Sep 11 2011 Would this work with natural maple cabinets? Flooring is a light greyish tile, appliances stainless. Most pictures show this granite with either white cabinets or darker red/brown stains. We don't want black, gold, brown, or beige countertop so looking at whites but not sure how it would go with the natural maple. Thanks!
  • Marble.com - Derek 05:22PM, Aug 31 2011 My suggestion is 2x4 Calacatta marble tile. The grey tones would compliment your granite nicely. I've attached an image for your reference.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 09:08PM, Aug 25 2011 I think a white subway tile or a honed White Carrara would complement the Kashmir White very well without overpowering the kitchen. Let me know what you think!
  • Karina V 06:25PM, Aug 24 2011 I need some advice guys. I have cherry cabinet  and we have installed Kashmir white countertops, I'm looking for backsplash to compliment Kashmir White. Thanks!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 04:10PM, Jun 27 2011 I would not do the beadboard backsplash. Like Derek mentioned, it would be very difficult to keep clean and it damages quite easily especially near the sink. I’ve seen it done before with granite and I’m not a fan of the overall look.  If you like the linear look of the beadboard, you should consider using a long subway tile instead. The grout would look like the groves of the beadboard so it may be worth checking out. If you’re set on the beadboard, I would paint it a soft color like Benjamin Moore’s “Morning Dew” for a cooler feel in the kitchen or “Crème Burlee” if you want add warmth.
  • Marble.com - Derek 03:37PM, Jun 27 2011 Personally, I'm not a fan of beadboard backsplash, as they can be difficult to clean because dirt can get into the grooves. Have you thought about a subway tile backsplash? If you're going to use the beadboard backsplash, then some darker color is needed in the paint choice as all your elements in the design are very light. Something like Benjamin Moore "Sweet Spring".
  • M Lynnecox 08:31PM, Jun 24 2011 We have just installed Kashmir White countertops (love them), have white appliances and white cabinets.  Am seriously considering beadboard for backsplash and up to the bottom of the cabinets.  Kitchen is open to dining and living rooms painted Benjamin Moore's Windham Cream.  Any suggestions as to color for the beadboard or any other suggestions?  Thanks!
  • Marble.com - Derek 12:30PM, Jun 22 2011 Kashmir White is a classic choice to go against light cabinets to create a stunning white kitchen. By adding a dark hardwood floor to the mix, you're creating a rich contrast from the lighter elements in your design. Go for it!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 03:00PM, Jun 21 2011 Stan Buturla ,

Since your floor is on the darker side, this stone would definitely work with white cabinets. Consider doing a darker backsplash to give the space a more contrast and balance. Hope this helps!
  • Stan Buturla 11:55PM, Jun 20 2011 I am having white cabinets with stainless steel appliances and a medium dark wood floor. Would Kashmir White go well with this set up. Thanks
  • Amber 06:32PM, Mar 27 2011 I stained our dated cabinets in our bathroom classic black. What countertop would you suggest. I would like a lighter color so they really pop.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:53AM, Mar 29 2011 Amber: Some options for you to consider are Kashmir White, Bianco Antico, Bianco Romano, Ambrosia White. Take your pick.
  • yaoyao 11:15PM, Mar 1 2011 We are deciding countertop for a secondary bathroom . It has light blue wall; white cabinets and satin nickle ligtht fixture. Is kashmir white a good choice? thanks
    • All Granite and Marble 09:18AM, Mar 2 2011 Yaoyao: Kashmir White is a great choice. A very calm stone. Another option could be Bianco Romano.
  • Kim Marie 08:49AM, Jan 10 2011 I need design advice. I hve Glacier White cabs and Kashmir White countertops--love it but need backsplash options. I had installed superwhite mini srips but once installed were more like beach glass (greys, blue and a pale green) and it looks hideous. I have to have it torn out so need a fool proof re-install material. Please help.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:16AM, Jan 10 2011 Kim Marie: How about a simple and clean white subway tile? It's odd that the super white glass tile came out looking not so white. Also, have you into tumbled natural stone backsplash, perhaps a botticino or carrera marble tile would be a good choice.
  • Wren 04:49PM, Dec 13 2010 Hi I'm installing esspresso (dark Chocolate) cabinets, trying to decide between Kashmire white or kashmire gold? Any suggestions
    • All Granite and Marble 09:21AM, Dec 14 2010 Wren: I'm leaning towards the Kashmir Gold. The rich and warm golden tones will compliment your dark wood cabinetry nicely.
  • sondra adam 10:48PM, Nov 8 2010 We Kashmir White in our kitchen with cherry cabinets. I is wonderful! There is a lot of gray in this. It's light but not white.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:28AM, Nov 10 2010 Sondra Adam: Glad you picked a good choice! :)
  • karen Guggenheim 05:16PM, Oct 4 2010 I am looking into using kashmir white for my kitchen. I have white cabinets, white floor and white appliances and also white brick backsplash. I love a white kitchen, but is this too much? Please advise
    • All Granite and Marble 09:31AM, Oct 5 2010 Karen Guggenheim: It might be a little too cold and neutral. How about Kashmir Gold?
  • anne 05:08PM, Sep 24 2010 We are doing vanilla cream, caramel glazed shaker cabinets, white crackle glazed subway tile backsplash, and Australian sandstone flooring . Our appliances are stainless. Not sure if the kashmir white granite will look overall gray and not compliment the other brown tones. The rest of our home has so much dark wood, we want to brighten up our kitchen. Please help!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:59AM, Sep 28 2010 Anne: I'm leaning towards the other variation of this stone: Kashmir Gold.
  • Baldeep 01:01AM, Aug 10 2010 Hi we have dark floors and dark chocolate cabinets what would u say to kashmir white counter top
    • All Granite and Marble 08:35AM, Aug 10 2010 Baldeep: Excellent choice. The rich contrast and elegant design will fit in beautifully.
  • Debbie 03:18PM, Aug 4 2010 We are considering Azul Aran or Kashmire White countertops. We have medium oak cabinets and wood floors. What do you think?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:15AM, Aug 5 2010 Debbie: I'm leaning toward the Azul Aran for a richer pattern and elegant design.
  • Marissa 04:16PM, Mar 29 2010 We have cool, bright white cabinets. Would kashmir white be too much of a good thing here? Also considering caledonia.
    • All Granite and Marble 04:24PM, Mar 29 2010 Marissa: Not much contrast, but if that's the look you're looking for, then I do not see any problem. It would be a beautiful white kitchen.
  • pragna 02:03PM, Feb 18 2010 would caffe, maple cabinets go with kashmir white marble counter top, and the floor is a grey colour tile
    • All Granite and Marble 04:35PM, Feb 18 2010 pragna: Absolutely!
  • Shawn 12:46AM, Jan 3 2010 I'm installing expresso color cabinets. Would kashmir white work? The floors will be a beige travertine stone. Also, what color of paint would I choose? And backsplash?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:52AM, Jan 4 2010 Shawn: Kashmir White will look great, all the contrast that you need. You should consider a slate backsplash...and walls could be a shade of taupe.
  • Muk 01:07PM, Dec 1 2009 We are considering sorrel cabinets with oak butterscotch floors. Will KAshmir white be a good choice. Any other suggestions are appreciated
    • All Granite and Marble 03:06PM, Dec 1 2009 Muk: Kashmir White would look good, plenty of contrast. A similar stone is Vanilla. Also take a look at Giallo Ornamental.
  • Ashley 01:58AM, Nov 28 2009 will cherry cabinets work? what color backsplash and what floors look best? we are considering this or crema bordeaux. Also, have you seen Aqua Verde? I like this as well, but am not sure if green is too much and don't know if it will work with cherry cabinets.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:20AM, Nov 28 2009 Ashley: Take a look at Santa Cecilia Light. It has some light creamy tones, and burgundy speckling to pick up the cherry. Kashmir White is very gray. Crema Bordeaux is also a solid choice, very rich coloring but make sure the slab is not overwhelmingly red.
  • Lisa 03:10PM, Oct 2 2009 What paint color do you think would go well with Kashmir white? Cabinets are maple, medium brown. Thanks.
    • All Granite and Marble 03:42PM, Oct 3 2009 Lisa: A grey with blue undertones would coordinate well with Kashmir White.
  • Rupa 12:11AM, Aug 27 2009 I want a rate/sq ft for the Kashmir White installed. I am building a custom home and want to know the turnaround time and the specs of the stone quality. Please email me at ragbirsinghr@email.chop.edu. Thanks. Rupa
