COMMENTS:

  • Marble.com - Derek 04:06PM, Dec 16 2011 Ruby Velvet is a gorgeous stone. If you'd like to see it, it's available exclusively at our Ridgefield Park, NJ facility.
  • Marble.com - Derek 04:02PM, Dec 16 2011 I think that you will be fine. Make sure to look at the full slabs in-person before making a final decision, and bring samples home with you to see how the stone looks in your kitchen next to the cabinets in the kitchen lightning.
  • Lin82965 11:27PM, Dec 15 2011 Checked out all of these and they were nice, but then came across the Ruby Velvet..OMG...that is absolutely gorgeous.  Our walls are garnet in the kitchen and our cabinets are knotty pine and with the red and the lighter tan color, this one is gorgeous.  So hard to make the final decision.  Thanks for you help! :)
  • Lin82965 11:13PM, Dec 15 2011 Thank you....we kind of picked something from the yard in Stroudsburg, not as much of a selection as we had hoped from looking online, but beautiful, and gonna check these out because we want to be absolutely sure!  If we have to take a Jersey road trip we will.  :)  thanks again
  • Lin82965 11:10PM, Dec 15 2011 Thank you so much and that is what I have been saying...I don't want it to look too busy.
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:50PM, Dec 2 2011 Altair is actually one of my favorite stones! The deep golden veins in this granite look absolutely beautiful in-person (as you already know) and remind me of a snake running across the slab. Since the Altair is quite busy, are you sure veins is the appropriate direction to go in for the perimeter? For stones with movement but not overly busy, for the perimeter I would recommend Sunset Ivory, Vyara Gold, Juparana Colombo, and Peregrine C (this one is busy but would look very good with Altair). Good luck!
  • Janis 06:24PM, Dec 2 2011 Thanks Derek. I went to Ridgefield Park and fell in love with Altair. Any suggestions for the perimeter with this one? I like more of a vein look, than a spotty look. Looking forward to your suggestions!
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:13PM, Dec 1 2011 I'd use the Lotus on the bi-level island to highlight the island as the centerpiece of your design, and to not overpower the space with a very dark stone all around. As for the perimeter, I'd use a warmer granite choice. Perhaps a stone such as Astoria or Tropical Brown would be appropriate.
  • Janisf126 02:17AM, Nov 30 2011 I have cinnamon maple cabinets w/dark brown glaze and I am looking for a dark countertop. My appliances will all be black, and there is alot of light in the room. Do you think I can use this granite all around, or just use it on the 8 foot 2 level island?
  • Marble.com - Derek 05:19PM, Oct 18 2011 Lotus is absolutely gorgeous, albeit dark. Just be careful that your overall design is not too dark or busy. Plenty of natural light will minimize these issues, or pendant lights, recessed lights ect. Good luck!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:38PM, Oct 17 2011 If your slate floors have red tones in them, this stone will definitely work. Other beautiful options include Astoria, Golden Dream S and Samba Red. Click here http://www.marble.com/material... for a comparison table of each stone I mentioned. Let me know what you think!
  • Lin 05:10PM, Oct 15 2011 Hello, this one is a beauty.  We are going to start remodeling our kitchen.  We already did the floor in slate so almost every piece is unique..lots of different colors. We are thinking about getting either knotty pine cabinets or hickory, so they are going to be kind of light....thinking about a darker granite.  Back splash is going to be glass/granite pieces.  Do you think this would be a good choice or do you have any suggestions on another choice?
  • Marble.com - Derek 02:03PM, Oct 11 2011 Please fill out an estimate request here: www.marble.com/estimate to have a fabricator in your area contact you.

We do not sell full slabs because we are a fabricator, not a supplier. We sell finished, custom projects within our service area.
  • Richard Cowan 06:17PM, Oct 8 2011 I live in Buffalo, NY. Is there a dealer in Buffalo who buys from you?

  • Max R. 02:07PM, Nov 23 2010 Thinking of pairing this up with a darker wood cabinet and a glass tile backsplash matching the swirl color. Your Stones go from blue, double blue all the way to gold, Which group does this fall into?
