    Mailou,

That a nice looking stone stone, excellent choice! I think you are on the right track.

Hi. We are renovating our kitchen & chose a sable cabinets (dark brown). At first we decided on Iberian Sunset but changed our mind when we saw River White. We love the movement. We are now in the process of looking for a backsplash. We are thinking of the Anatolia - Classic Series Tile Glossy 6" X 12" - Pulpis Ivory. Do you think we are in the right track? Thanks.

    Nancy,

We do have a limited selection of tile which can be viewed at the following link.

Hello We have dark expresso cabinets and looking to use river valley for the counter top.
We also have while tiles for the flooring
Do u have any complimenting backsplash suggested colors for tile (glass or otherwise)

I would like to have 18" high granite backsplash in addition to granite countertop.

Do you have any granite tiles available to match countertop slab or is there a way to make it out of a thin slab? I do not think it's a good idea to have another 1 1/4 thick slab as a backsplash.

Hi, I think that you are absolutely on the right track in terms of design thinking. Grey veins with espresso color cabinet will give you elegant atmosphere. I haven't seen leather finisz of that one stone, but I would recommend you to go with glossy and shiny countertop. Good luck !

    Hi,

We are having a new home built and I am considering this color for our master bath. The cabinets will be an espresso color, and the floor tile is rectangular with horizontal streaks in varying shades of gray. We had initially chosen the New Caledonia granite, but the more I look at it, the more I dislike how stagnant it is. I really like the River White because of the movement.

Do you think this would complement the floor tile we selected or compete with it? Also, does this stone look good with a leathered finish?

    Thank you.

Hi, yes the stone is available in both facilities in Stroudsburg, PA and also in Ridgefield Park, NJ or in South Plainfield, NJ.

Is the River Valley/River White Granite available in either of the NJ or PA locations? Need about 50-55sq ft.

The difference in porousness between river white granite or "yellow" granite isn't really significant. It's more about light granite and dark granite. They are more porous than darker stones and are more likely to require an impregnating sealer on a regular basis to help impede staining. Please find some information how you should take care of the stone and seal it: http://www.marble.com/articles... .

how porous is river white?  will this stain more easily than cecilia or other "yellow" granites?
    Thank you

A dark, elegant granite with green undertones for a strong contrast that I recommend is Ubatuba, Golden Jade, and Pocono Green. Hope this helps!

Thinking of using the River White in a off white/Linen kitchen - would like to consider a complimentary granite for the island any thoughts?  Prefer something either darker in the green tones or even something white but not yellow/gold.

If you decide not to use a stone or porcelain backsplash of some sorts, you should include a 4" River White backsplash then paint the wall with a light, neutral, and warm color such as Benjamin Moore Linen White or Barely Beige. For the floor tile, my recommendation is Mina Giallo travertine or a similar shade. I've attached a photo for your reference. Good luck!

To add to my last post, the vanity is cafe walnut. Any thoughts if we decide not to use a backsplash? Thank You!

We are doing a small bath remodel. We have a 48 in ronbow neoclassic console vanity and purchase River White granite. Need help on choosing a floor tile and wall color. Any suggestions?

  • Marble.com - Derek 08:41PM, Dec 7 2011 ID 1564 is the newest delivery at our Ridgefield yard so that's what we have right now.
  • Jeaniecfitness 04:18AM, Dec 3 2011 Hi,  internet 1564 is a different slab than the slab pictured here - 1461. Might you have 1461 at Ridgefield?
  • Marble.com - Derek 01:49PM, Oct 28 2011 The slabs of internet ID shown here (1564) are a brand new delivery to our Ridgefield facility. They look absolutely magnificent, I highly recommend to come and take a look yourself!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:09PM, Oct 27 2011 Our Ridgefield Park, NJ facility carries the above-pictured stone but at this time, we do not carry the River Gold. The closest stone to the River Gold, also located in Ridgefield Park, NJ yard, is the Bianco Antico.
  • Jeaniecfitness 04:04AM, Oct 27 2011 Hi, is this available and if so where? Also liked the river gold Id# 710.
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:20PM, Sep 21 2011 I feel that the River White should be used throughout the design as you're already combining a dual color cabinet set-up and the checker board tile sounds like it's on the busy side. This way, you have just enough uniqueness and contrast for the kitchen to be truly special.
  • Laurenspruill 01:31AM, Sep 21 2011 We are considering river white for our kitchen. We have a black and white checker board tile floor which makes selecting some of the busier patterns a bit difficult. We are thinking of putting it on a black accent island in the center. Are there any darker complimenting patterns for the white cabinets around the perimeter or should we consider river white for the entire thing? Also, any other recommendations? Thank you.
