If you decide not to use a stone or porcelain backsplash of some sorts, you should include a 4" River White backsplash then paint the wall with a light, neutral, and warm color such as Benjamin Moore Linen White or Barely Beige. For the floor tile, my recommendation is Mina Giallo travertine or a similar shade. I've attached a photo for your reference. Good luck!

We are doing a small bath remodel. We have a 48 in ronbow neoclassic console vanity and purchase River White granite. Need help on choosing a floor tile and wall color. Any suggestions?

Marble.com - Derek 08:20PM, Sep 21 2011 I feel that the River White should be used throughout the design as you're already combining a dual color cabinet set-up and the checker board tile sounds like it's on the busy side. This way, you have just enough uniqueness and contrast for the kitchen to be truly special.

We have a black and white checker board tile floor which makes selecting some of the busier patterns a bit difficult. We are thinking of putting it on a black accent island in the center. Are there any darker complimenting patterns for the white cabinets around the perimeter or should we consider river white for the entire thing? Also, any other recommendations? Thank you.
