Yes! The Shivakashi granite will allow for a stunning contrast against the darker elements in the design. Some other colors I think would be appropriate and offset the cabinetry & field tiles are Shiva Kashmir White and Ivory Brown. Hope this helps!

I'm finishing a bathroom and the last choice is the vanity top.  It will be a 60 inch double sink vanity.  The floors and shower in the bath are copper rust slate.  The vanity base is a cinnamon/burnt sienna color.  I wanted a lighter top to offset the darker tones of the slate and thought the veining of the Shivakashi would go nicely with the rust/oranges/burgundies in the slate and contrast nicely with the darker vanity.  Do you agree?

  • Marble.com - Derek 07:17PM, Nov 11 2011 It's an appropriate choice as the Shiva Kashmir White is light to offset your cabinet color and has a calm movement in the stone. I also recommend to check out Sunset Ivory and Ivory Fantasy. Good luck! :)
  • Pravina 03:31AM, Nov 10 2011 I have white and black floor and planning to put Decor arlington cherry red cabinets.. Is this granite  be the right choice?
  • maggie 10:02AM, Apr 3 2011 I want to have espresso canbinets and travetine (toward beige) as a backsplash, would this granite fit well with my combination or any other suggestions? I like granite that is simple and not too busy.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:27AM, Apr 4 2011 Maggie: It's very light for a nice contrast, some other options could be Bianco Romano and Ambrosia White.
  • Ted 05:15PM, Feb 23 2010 Waht pricing group is shiva kashmir white and green rose?
    • All Granite and Marble 05:17PM, Feb 23 2010 Ted: Kashmir is Single Silver, Green Rose is Double Silver.
  • jr 11:02AM, Jul 30 2009 i have purchase chocolate dark browncabinets and white lebon granite ; but i prefer black granite instead . What will you recommend??? thanks in advance for anytips
    • All Granite and Marble 11:50AM, Jul 30 2009 jr: I recommend stick with the light granite, contrast is good.
  • Melissa 11:08PM, May 28 2009 we have dark wood cabinets, center island with brick base..want granite to compliment not "fight with" brick...could this work?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:12AM, May 30 2009 Melissa: Absolutely. You have white which will provide contrast without fighting with brick, and red that ties the two together. A+
  • Sara 07:59PM, Feb 22 2009 Would Kashmir White granite look good with cream color cabinets? My appliances are stainless steel and I have ebony color hardwood floors.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:06AM, Feb 26 2009 Sara: While it might not create much contrast with the cabinets, it would definitely work with the dark floor. Basically you're setting up a two color based design with strong contrast. Punchy look but simple at the same time.
  • Autumn 06:11PM, Jan 31 2009 I have black appliances and taupe cabinets (color is Warm Stone) and cream walls. Because the appliances and cabinets are dark, I wanted to lighten up the room with this granite. Do you think this is the right color?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:23AM, Feb 2 2009 Autumn: How dark are the cabinets? Your idea to use a light color is good but I think that trying to tie the dark cabinets in a bit more would be good.
  • Sonia 08:34PM, Jan 16 2008 Do you have other slabs that have cream background with burgundy spots? The Kashmir white I have seen all have a bit of grayish/blue. We have cranberry cherry cabinets and auburn maple floor, so we are looking for something very light to create some contrast. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:28AM, Jan 22 2008 Sonia: This is creme.
