  • Marble.com - Kinga 02:10PM, Feb 8 2012 Unfortunately, we do not have any information on the tile used, just the stone itself. However, it looks like a tumbled marble or travertine. Hope this helps!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 03:20PM, Feb 7 2012 The Ubatuba would look amazing against hickory cabinets! Since your appliances are black, I would recommend using a light floor like Tracia porcelain paired with ICL Luminous Glass Mosaic Tiles or Anatolia Bliss Spa Linear Mosaic backsplash to brighten up the space a bit. Let me know what you think!
  • Klhadley 05:49PM, Feb 4 2012 What kind of tile was used in the work example?  I have ubatuba and am trying to match it with a tile.
  • Leiann 03:46AM, Feb 3 2012 I am trying to decide what to use with hickory cabinets, I love the ubatuba do you think this will work with hickory cabinets? The hickory is through out the house is it ok to use the same color granite in the bathrooms or do something diff. Also the kitchen appliances are black and i'm still not sure what color the floor is going to be.
  • Marble.com - Derek 09:32PM, Jan 26 2012 Kinga covered the first part of your question nicely. To answer the second part, we use a plastic-like physical material for the template that we put together to represent the layout of your countertop, we do not use laser technology. We've tested it and used it in the past, and have found that having a physical template works best for us. Hope this helps!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 02:25PM, Jan 25 2012 When we create a template, we ask you to remove existing countertops to ensure precise and perfect measurements. Since our turnaround is so fast, you will enjoy your brand new, custom made countertops in no time!
  • Oaks 02:28AM, Jan 25 2012 Do we have to remove an existing counter top to get the templet done for one of your new granite tops?
Do you use lazer technology to take the mesurements?
  • Marble.com - Kinga 12:39PM, Dec 2 2011 Have you considered Antique Bronze or Venetian Bronze finish on a faucet?
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:29PM, Dec 1 2011 How about an oil rubbed faucet? That should compliment your design very nicely. Let me know what you think.
  • Michelle 03:47PM, Nov 30 2011 We are having ubatuba installed with the black granite sink and I cannot decide on a faucet color - the appliances will be stainless steel.  What do you suggest
  • Marble.com - Derek 09:46PM, Nov 9 2011 Sounds like a busy floor color -- a warm yet soft and calm color such as Astoria or Sunset Ivory seems quite appropriate for this set-up.
  • Scorpio 06:55PM, Nov 6 2011 What granite counter top would work with multi - colored or autumn slate floors in extra bathroom
  • Marble.com - Derek 07:08PM, Aug 31 2011 We do not ship without the installation. You can do a pick-up order whereas we fabricate and it's picked up by you. For pricing, please contact the sales office: www.marble.com/locations

  • Rwolfe03 04:25PM, Aug 25 2011 I currently have UbaTuba w/ grey/white speckles (?)  (not "gold")   I want to add on a small extension to existing countertop.  I have the 3 cm top, but want the same granite in 2 cm. for a terraced effect for the add on.    Do you do custom cuts if an accurate template is provided?  What would shipping cost be?  I plan to do my own installation.
Included photo shows the proposed extension in the foreground on the left and is about 29x12 inches.
  • Marble.com - Derek 04:58PM, Aug 17 2011 Unfortunately, we only have information on the stone, not the cabinets. It looks like maple cabinets.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 04:37PM, Aug 16 2011 Unfortunately, your photo did not attach successfully. Can you try again?
  • F Russell 08:42AM, Aug 16 2011 The finish is called Cafe Macadamia. Dark Brown. The picture I uploaded is not the best but it might give you an idea.
  • Marble.com - Kinga 09:55PM, Aug 15 2011 Unfortunately, we only have information on the stone, not the cabinets.
  • Marvin 08:15PM, Aug 15 2011 What finish are the cabinets in the (Ubatuba) work example?
  • F Russell 12:28PM, Aug 9 2011 We are building a new home and have decided on Cafe Macadamia stained
cabinets, stainless-steel appliances and oil-rubbed bronze hardware for
kitchen and bathrooms. We like Ubatuba granite for countertops but are
unsure about backsplash and floor tile colors. The builder offers ivory
classic, walnut classic and noche classic tumbled tile backsplashes. He
also offers a wide range of floor tile colors. Which shades or colors
would go best with our cabinet and countertop selection? Or would you recommend a different granite countertop altogether?
    Thank you!

  • Marble.com - Kinga 03:53PM, Jul 14 2011 Derek is absolutely right. The Golden Lightening  is stunning and completely unique but there are so many different shipments of Ubatuba, you won’t feel like you’re using a ‘common’ stone.  Like you mentioned, the price is very different between the two and I’m confident you will absolutely love the Ubatuba. Hope this helps!
  • Marble.com - Derek 02:49PM, Jul 14 2011 Golden Lightning is a much more unique and elegant looking stone. It would surely be the centerpiece of your kitchen design. Ubatuba on the other hand, is a popular and safe choice, but it's also classic and timeless. I have Ubatuba in my home and it's very durable and low maintenance. Hope this helps.
  • Deb 12:58AM, Jul 14 2011 Hello,

I need to have an opinion. I have chosen golden lightening, finally. I am being recommended ubatuba due to the difference in cost. Does anyone have an opinion and does anyone of you have either of these granite for a counter top.   Deb
  • KEISHA 08:20PM, Apr 27 2011 iwE ARE INSTALLING CHERRY STAINED CABINETS AND ARE DEBATING ABOUT WHICH COUNTERTOP WILL LOOK BETTER UBATUBA OR NEW VENETIAN GOLD. wHAT DO YOU THINK?
    • All Granite and Marble 03:03PM, Apr 28 2011 KEISHA: New Venetian Gold is my choice as it creates a warm contrast and has occasional garnet colored flecks to pick up the cherry wood cabinetry.
  • Brad 11:06AM, Apr 4 2011 I would prefer a granite with grain. I was thinking of something dark like brown antique or uba tuba
    • All Granite and Marble 11:23AM, Apr 4 2011 Brad: I suggest the Butterfly Antique, Imperial Coffee, or Ubatuba Gold.
  • Brad 03:14PM, Apr 3 2011 I am installing maple cabinets stained hazelnut and have a light tile floor. What granite countertop would you recommend?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:45AM, Apr 4 2011 Brad: Any colors you've looked at so far that catch your attention? Do you like stones with a consistent, speckled pattern or veins and movement within the granite?
  • Paula 03:59PM, Mar 4 2011 Hello! We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. Natural maple cabinets with our natural oak floor. We will have silver colored hardware and stainless steel appliances. We are considering Ubatuba or maybe Tropical Brown as we think we'd like the contrast. It is an interior kitchen with ample overhead lighting but very little natural lighting. We have 3 young children so we are always cleaning the counter. Suggestions on the granite? Others I should look at? Thanks
    • All Granite and Marble 11:15AM, Mar 7 2011 Paula: The Ubatuba is a solid because because it's dark enough to contrast the maple wood and is low maintenance because of it's durability.
  • Robert 11:30AM, Mar 4 2011 For my countertops I like this as well as Tan Brown Classic. What do you think?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:03AM, Mar 8 2011 Robert: Both are solid and classic choices. What color are your cabinets?
  • Becky H 01:02PM, Jan 19 2011 Sorry for the previous e-mail---on a older laptop. Our new cabinets are Early American Oak----appliances are white---ffront of dishwasher is black. What color counter tops do you recommend?
    • All Granite and Marble 03:13PM, Jan 19 2011 Becky H: Some excellent suggestions to compliment yours oak cabinets are: Santa Cecilia, New Venetian Gold, and Kashmir Gold.
  • Amy D 08:26AM, Jan 3 2011 Hello, We have ginger maple cabinets (with a cocoa glaze) and cherry stained hardwood floors...we're debating between Uba Tuba and Venetian Gold. My husband loves the Uba, but I am wondering if it will look to harsh against the lighter cabinets. The Venetian Gold seems to have a softer look....any thoughts???
    • All Granite and Marble 08:27AM, Jan 3 2011 Amy D: The Ubatuba will create an elegant feel and is a very bulletproof and durable stone, it's a timeless choice. The New Venetian Gold has an attractive warmth and will brighten up the kitchen. I'm leaning towards Ubatuba for your set-up.
  • terry tryon 10:13AM, Dec 3 2010 HOW DO I GET THE QOUTE
    • All Granite and Marble 11:24AM, Dec 3 2010 Terry Tryon: Send over your layout to our sales office or use the Online Estimate Tool located on our main page.
  • Martha Billings 10:53AM, Nov 19 2010 I have the ubatuba counter tops,, with Honey oak cabinets, and light red old floor. I'm looking for a backsplash suggestion to match My walls are Sherman Williams Middat SW6695
    • All Granite and Marble 11:00AM, Nov 19 2010 Martha Billings: For backsplash, I recommend a Jerusalem Gold tile or tumbled noce travertine tile.
  • joan 10:27AM, Oct 30 2010 I have oak cabinets in my kitchen and a hard wood floor. We have a very long counter. Would you suggest ubatuba or St. Cecelia.. I am afraid of the contrast with ubatuba
    • All Granite and Marble 09:29AM, Nov 2 2010 Joan: Contrast is good! For something in the middle of these two, take a look at Tropical Brown.
  • caitlyn 08:28PM, Oct 6 2010 In my first comment I ment to ask if it would be too much of a color contrast.
  • Caitlyn 08:24PM, Oct 6 2010 I have honey maple cabinet, red oak floors and am considering ubatuba. Do you think it will be too much of a color? If You thing this will work what color do you recommend I paint the walls?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:58AM, Oct 8 2010 Caitlyn: I think it's a great choice. The contrast is needed in your design. For the walls, try Benjamin Moore "Honeyed Almond".
  • Tracey 09:40PM, Sep 8 2010 I am looking at this granite color. I have white cabinets with a light "sand" colored tile. What are your thoughts on the color combination?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:57AM, Sep 10 2010 Tracey: That is an open design. Some good suggestions are: New Venetian Gold, Tropical Brown, Tan Brown, Butterfly Antique.
  • sue 09:41PM, Aug 1 2010 We have hickory cabinets and hard wood oak floors. My husband wants granite with some greens. While I don't mind a little green, I'm hoping for something with more golds/browns..ie. neutral. Suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:30AM, Aug 2 2010 Sue : A darker counter would look gorgeous against your hickory wood and create a elegant contrast. I suggest Butterfly Antique. For more browns, Tropical Brown or Tan Brown is appropriate. Good luck!
  • Mariah K 02:53PM, Jul 27 2010 I have cherry cabinets with charcoal glaze but the center isle is painted off white. Would Ubatuba work on the isle, looking for something to set of the glazing. Cherry Cabinets looking for a white/off white counter top. Would you have both in stock? Total sf 65
    • All Granite and Marble 09:40AM, Jul 28 2010 Mariah K: We have Ubatuba in-stock at all of our locations, and many varieties. It would look gorgeous with your set-up. Another option might be Butterfly Antique.
  • porter 08:19AM, May 17 2010 How much sq foot?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:11AM, May 17 2010 porter: For pricing please contact the sales office. This stone is one of our lower priced colors.
  • sung smith 11:55PM, Apr 21 2010 I also have white walls. do you think using same granite Ubatula as back splash will be good, or do you recogmend I go with another granite back splash? I love the tiles but I am limited in skills and cost/time restraint and complixity involved in doing it. What do you advice? Thank you. Sung
    • All Granite and Marble 08:36AM, Apr 22 2010 sung smith: I think it wouldn't be too busy if you do a full granite backsplash out of the Ubatuba if using porcelain or ceramic tile is not an option. It would be a very sleek and elegant design.
  • sung smith 04:42PM, Apr 20 2010 I have white painted cabinet and medium brown speckled linolium and black and one beize applience. I see there are differenent Ubatubas here. Will it work together. I am thinking of counter with a large island, in medium size kitchen opened up to dining room. Will it be too cold looking? I like warmth and not too busy business and yet look great and comfortable. s
    • All Granite and Marble 10:00AM, Apr 21 2010 sung smith: Ubatuba would look excellent, for something warmer try Tropical Brown.
  • Susan 03:01PM, Mar 29 2010 I have honey oak cabinets. Saw a sample of something called Verde Uba Tuba (had some gold flecks in it). Would this go with these cabinets. Also, would appreciate any ideas for flooring and backsplash. Thank you.
    • All Granite and Marble 04:22PM, Mar 29 2010 Susan: Ubatuba looks great with honey oak. Sleek design with excellent contrast. For flooring, for tile I recommend using travertine.
  • Li 12:13PM, Feb 25 2010 Any other colors would work well with the cabinets/floor and are good for a full backsplash and countertop? Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 12:49PM, Feb 25 2010 Li: Some more suggestions would be: Dakota Brown, Tropical Brown, Giallo Fiorito.
  • Li 11:27AM, Feb 25 2010 Thanks a lot for your recommendation! I would like to use a full backsplash of the same granite. Which color is better? Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 12:02PM, Feb 25 2010 Li: Tan Brown. Bordeaux might be too busy of a pattern for a full backsplash.
  • Li 12:04AM, Feb 25 2010 I have maple cabinets and red oak floor. I have white appliances now and will gradually change them to stainless steel. What colors of granite do you recommend? Thanks!
    • All Granite and Marble 08:33AM, Feb 25 2010 Li: Try Tan Brown, or Crema Bordeaux for a more dramatic pattern.
  • Pattie 07:21PM, Nov 5 2009 This is a pretty stone, the gold seems to work well with my maple honey cabinets but for a few years more ... white appliances. Do you think that is too much of a contrast with the white appliances.
    • All Granite and Marble 04:14PM, Nov 6 2009 Pattie: I don't think so.
  • Judy 03:19PM, Oct 3 2009 Would it be better to do dark vs light countertops? Use undercabinet lighting most of the time. Thanks much for your help.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:27AM, Oct 5 2009 Judy: With your cabinets a dark countertop will look more classy and warm, a light color will brighten up your area though.
  • Judy 02:30PM, Oct 2 2009 No natural light in kitchen. Cabinets are golden oak and new island is cream with chocolate glaze. Really like Ubatuba #761 but afraid it may be too dark. Kitchen open to dinning/living room area. Also like some St. Cecilia and Giallo Ornamental (might be too light) - suggestions please.
    • All Granite and Marble 02:41PM, Oct 3 2009 Judy: Also consider Butterfly. It's a little lighter than Ubatuba.
