New Colonial Gold, New Venetian Gold or even Giallo Ornamental would work well. Essentially, you would have to visit one of our stone yards and view these slabs in person. Maybe something from a different family will catch your eye. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

A complete remodel will include white shaker cabinets, stainless steel appliances and either ivory or cream travertine. What granite suggestions can you make? Do you suggest using same travertine on floor and backspash

  • - Derek 12:31PM, Jul 23 2012

Unfortunately we do not have information on the floor tile. We have specs on the countertop itself that we installed.

  • Mattie 03:53AM, Jul 17 2012

Do you know what floor tile is in the kitchen pictured?  What black granite might look good with the Gold Antique?

    Thank you,

  • - Derek 03:16PM, Jun 5 2012

My suggestions to fit your design nicely are Sanguine C, Golden Dream, and Peregrine C. I've created a Comparison Chart for you: Let me know your thoughts on these!

  • Lori G Farriella 01:05AM, Jun 2 2012

I am looking to change my kitchen countertops to granite.  I have medium medium color cherry cabinets with a light tan tile floor.  I think i prefer a granite with movement, gold tones, but want something that will stand out and look rich, but not too crazy.  I also will be tile that back walls.  My kitchen is painted a split pea green (dont remember the name).

    Thank you-Lori

  • - Derek 06:54PM, Oct 19 2011 It's in the higher categories on the estimate (Double Silver, Single Gold) for the Ridgefield Park, NJ location. Hope this gives you an idea on the pricing.
  • - Derek 06:53PM, Oct 19 2011 Gold Antique can vary between slabs because it has various veins and rich movement. Therefore, it's an excellent decision to use the same slab for all the vanities if it all fits on one. By the way, this granite is a wonderful choice and I think you should totally use it for your design. Good luck!
  • - Kinga 03:46PM, Oct 18 2011 Granite in general is a very durable material to use in a kitchen. Keep in mind that darker stones are denser and more durable. For price group on this stone please contact a sales office nearest you.
  • Jolene McLeod 03:29PM, Oct 18 2011 Is Gold Antique a stronger or weaker granite and color?  Is it a blue, silver, or gold price category?  TY
  • Jolene McLeod 02:56PM, Oct 18 2011 Really appreciate your prompt reply!  TY
  • - Kinga 01:17PM, Oct 18 2011 Gold Antique will look stunning against your cabinets in both spaces. Consider using different edges in each space  for a unique look and feel.
  • - Kinga 01:05PM, Oct 18 2011 For pricing and availability, please contact a location nearest you.
  • Jolene McLeod 02:59AM, Oct 18 2011 What is the price range for Gold Antique #1004?
  • Jolene McLeod 02:58AM, Oct 18 2011 Have Juparana Indian Gold in kitchen with bordeaux/cherry stain on maple cabinets. Love it!

Now considering Gold Antique #1004 in master bath with same bordeaux stain as kitchen in 3 3' sections [2 sink areas and 1 vanity] as well as in guest bath with cream cabinets with brown glaze, also small area.  Wanting to do all from same slab.  Is this a good choice?

  • - Derek 02:13PM, Aug 8 2011 Have you looked at the Gold Antique in-person? The deliveries differ very much between each other, each batch is unique and color pattern is different. I recommend to take a sample of your cabinet door and put it against slabs of the Gold Antique at the stone yard and see how you like the combination. I think it could look very pretty if you find a calmer and softer slab.
  • - Kinga 11:31AM, Aug 8 2011 Which Gold Antique did you like best? There are a few shipments of it so can you provide us with the “Internet ID” of the one you were referring to?
  • Sigh55 05:45PM, Aug 5 2011 I really like Gold Antique.   Just uncertain how that would look with my oak cabinets.
  • - Derek 12:42PM, Jul 27 2011 A soft color with a hit of reddish undertones is the key for your visual space. Take a look at Costa Rose and Light Fantasy in addition to Kinga's excellent suggestions.
  • - Derek 12:17PM, Jul 27 2011 To pick from my favorites, I'd use a darker color for an elegant contrast. Take a look at Ubatuba, Bahia Brown, Imperial Coffee, and Cosmic Black. Let me know what you think. It's good as Kinga said, if you include design information on what you enjoy such as light or dark stones, and stones with a pattern or more consistent speckling.
  • - Kinga 02:55PM, Jul 26 2011 Sigh55,
You definitely need to stick to a consistent, easy on the eyes stone like Castor Imperiale, Dakota Brown and Suggar Brown. You need to pick up your floor color with your countertop to tie the space together. When narrowing down your search, you should look for stones that have the same or similar red tone as your flooring.
  • Sigh55 01:43PM, Jul 26 2011 Floor is red brick.  Exisiting countertops and 4 " backsplash white formica.  Above that is paint color "peanut shell" by Pratt & Lambert.   Oak cabinetry with a lot of grain.  Finished in a medium brown color by Wood Mode cabinetry.   Black kitchen appliances.  Butcher block center island will remain.  Concerned about all the conflicting patterns of cabinetry & floor in selecting patter of granite...
  • - Kinga 07:50PM, Jul 25 2011 Sigh55,
Are you looking for something consistent in color and pattern? Or do you prefer a wavy stone? What kind of floors and backsplash do you have?
Can you provide us with more information so we can provide the best advice possible?
  • Sigh55 03:22PM, Jul 24 2011 What granite do you recommend to go with a medium shade of brown oak cabinets?
  • Ariella Gastel 07:32AM, Apr 24 2011 We will be having Shaker stained, warm brown, cherry cabinets and are looking for a flowing granite (not granular ) for kitchen counter tops and an island that separates the kitchen with the dining room (so it should be interesting). The dining room is painted a light yellowish apricot. Thought about Gold Antique. Wanted some thing with a bit of bordeaux color. Any suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 01:09PM, Apr 25 2011 Ariella Gastel: Try Crema Beach, Golden Rock, and Ivory Fantasy. Let me know what you think.
  • brenda brown 10:37AM, Apr 5 2011 Had the gold antique installed last week.Works well with cabinets but having trouble with backsplash any suggestions?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:02AM, Apr 6 2011 Brenda Brown: What color are your cabinets?
  • Nicole 09:02PM, Nov 23 2010 Are cabinets are maple honey spice and the walls are painted roasted red pepper. We want a white based counter top to brighten up the small kitchen. We have been torn between "Golden Antique" and "Bianco Antico." Which do you think would look better.
    • All Granite and Marble 01:43PM, Nov 24 2010 Nicole: I'm leaning towards the Bianco Antico.
  • joyce 09:59AM, Nov 7 2010 requested sample in previous comment. Do you think this is a good choice for small counter tops with off white cabinets? My counter drawings are on file under 160201.
    • All Granite and Marble 12:37PM, Nov 8 2010 Joyce: Absolutely. The Gold Antique will create a stunning and bright white kitchen.
  • joyce 09:47AM, Nov 7 2010 I've decided on gold antique granite but need sample in order to shop for floor tile. Been to the yard twice (45 min drive) and asked for sample, Your guys now said to call on wednesday to see if there was a sample yet available. This is holding up the process since we can't do a template until the floor is in with the new cabinets. Can you help me get this sample please?
    • All Granite and Marble 12:36PM, Nov 8 2010 Joyce: Samples are cut out when a countertop is fabricated. Please contact our location by phone, we might be able to custom cut a sample for you.
  • annette 02:53PM, Oct 6 2010 what would you recommend with bordaux cherry cabinet finish and a light oak flooring
    • All Granite and Marble 12:15PM, Oct 8 2010 Annette: Some good suggestions to look at are: New Venetian Gold, Kashmir Gold, Giallo Ornamental.
  • Hanna Doan 10:08AM, Aug 20 2010 What do you recommend for an open kitchen with cherry cabinets and red tile floor?
    • All Granite and Marble 08:55AM, Aug 23 2010 Hanna Doan : I recommend a lighter stone for a deep contrast to offset the cherry tones in your design. Some good suggestions are: Colonial Cream, New Venetian Gold, Santa Cecilia.
  • Carrie 01:07PM, Aug 23 2009 Is there something like this but a shade or two darker? We love this but not enough contrast with our white cabinets.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:43AM, Aug 24 2009 Carrie: The only stone I can think of is Crena italia.
  • Karen R. 08:51PM, Jun 28 2009 We have gold antique grantite tops in our kitchen w/ canvas perimeter cabinets and praline island. Do you have any suggestions for tile backsplash?
    • All Granite and Marble 02:06PM, Jul 1 2009 Karen R.: Something darker... maybe Noce Travertine?
  • Tom 05:14PM, May 8 2009 Very small interior kitchen with builder oak cabinets, white appliances, no windows, undercabinet lighting is installed. What granite suggestions do you have for this situation?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:13AM, May 11 2009 Tom: This seems like a good match. Also try Kashmir White, Colonial Gold and Valley White.
