So the bathroom vanity cabinet is a gold color? If so, the Brescia marble would surely be a wonderful match, if that's what you're looking for. This combination would create an elegant, traditional feel for the space.

I have a gold custom vintage bathroom vanity that needs a new top.  Think this material and color would work?

  • Miki 11:20AM, Apr 20 2009 I've read many responses on other marbles about staining, scratching, etc. You would recommend granite for a cool, smooth surface to roll out thin, flaky pastry? I had just assumed marble would be best.
    • All Granite and Marble 09:41AM, Apr 21 2009 Miki: As I said, traditionally marble was used for such purposes. Mainly because it was easier to get. Granite is a much denser material though, and should perform even better.
  • Miki 07:22PM, Apr 19 2009 Can this marble be used as an insert in the kitchen to roll out pastry? If not, what would you suggest?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:09AM, Apr 20 2009 Miki: You could. Traditionally, pastry tables were made of marble, but granite is equally good (if not better).
