Hello. What application is this for? (kitchen or bathroom). The Calacatta Oro will surely look very elegant and appropriate against an antiqued white cabinet color. Please look at the "Work Examples" photos for a true representation of the marble as the default Material Photos pictures show a tint of purple that the slabs do not have. Hope this helps!

does this go well with antique white cabinets (no glaze on the cabinets) - they are yorktowne painted antique white - not dark ivory but not a white either. this marble is beautiful!

  • Allen 10:12PM, Sep 13 2010 Thank you for your thoughts. One more question, My wife really likes whites and cream marble. If we use Crema Marfil on the bathroom floor, what other light color marbles would look good with it. Is there and marble we could use on the vanity top that has less pattern than the Oro? Thanks, Allen
    • All Granite and Marble 09:10AM, Sep 14 2010 Allen: The White Carrara is a fine alternative, it has subtle gray veining.
  • Allen 06:36PM, Sep 11 2010 My wife and I are thinking of using Crema Mafil on our master bath floor, tub surround, and shower. Would Calacutta Gold be good on the vanity top? If not, what do you recommend?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:09AM, Sep 13 2010 Allen: Absolutely. The Oro would look gorgeous on your vanity.
  • leslie 07:52AM, Oct 29 2009 Can Calacutta Gold be used as a kitchen counter top?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:08AM, Oct 29 2009 leslie : I would cross marble off the list for kitchen countertop, the nature of the stone is too fragile.
