Hi, this particular granite we have in Ridgefield Park NJ (10 slabs) and in Deer Park NY (11 slabs) locations. I absolutely recommend you to take a look at the whole slab by yourself in natural light.

  • Marble.com - Adrian 06:05PM, Apr 23 2013

Hi, Yes absolutely I would recommend you to use the Classic White Lunar to achieve the look of carrera marble. It's more durable and less stain then marble, just please remember about the sealing every 6 months.

Hi I'm looking into the quartzite in whites. I live in Westchester Ny and usually
Go to ridgefield but now realizing you have other locations, I have no problem traveling to. Can your give me an innovatory of your whites in Long Island and and your 2 NJ locations please. (How many slabs with names please ) I have about 75sq ft to cover. Thank you so much! It will make my life much easier to go look.

Do you recommend Classic White Lunar as the most affordable option for one trying to achieve the look of carrera marble? Looking for an affordable option that will not have the tendency to stain as much as marble. thanks

Hi, The Quartzite is a natural stone as a compact granular rock composed of quartz crystals. The stone is generally quarried in stratified layers, the surfaces of which are unusually smooth. Its crushing and tensile strengths are extremely high; the color range is wide. However the enginneered stones like ceaserstone are the ultimate combination of nature and technology. Non-porous, scratch resistant and highly resistant to stains. In Deer Park location they have got Quazrtzite Classic Lunar and engineered stone:  Pure White 1141 and also Misty Carrera 4141H.

what is the difference between quartzite and engineered considering lunar white vs Quantra carrara and do you have both at Deer Park location

  • Marble.com - Derek 04:06PM, Jan 18 2013

Hello Cheryl. My inventory says that we have 10 slabs of Classic White Lunar at our Deer Park NY facility. For sealing purposes, I recommend to online order and use the DuPont StoneTech Bulletproof Sealer: http://www.mrstone.com/granite...

  • Cheryl 02:04AM, Jan 15 2013

HI do you have any pictures of a honed classic white lunar?  Also i am looking at the Deep Park location do you have slabs of 70 there?  If not can you get it from another location?  What sealer do you use?

  • Marble.com - Derek 02:05PM, Jan 3 2013

The Classic White and Classic White Lunar are different shipments and have slight variations. I've created a Comparison Table of the newest shipments of our regular Classic White for your easy reference: http://www.marble.com/material... Hope this helps!

Hi Kirstin. Indeed, we have had success with Classic White installations in a kitchen countertop setting. This stone is stronger than regular marble, but not as durable as a true granite. Kind of in middle in terms of technical specifications, if that makes sense. I recommend to reseal this stone with a strong sealer every six months to make sure it stays stain resistant. I recommend for you to use the DuPont StoneTech Bulletproof Sealer. Take a look here: http://www.mrstone.com/granite...

I love marble, most of the white's with gray veins. Seems like marble not right choice for kitchen counters though. Classic White Lunar (and classic white?) seems to be a good alternative. Would you agree as far as look? What about placement. Would quartzite be strong enough and resilient enough for range side counters and kitchen dining countertops?

  • Kristin 05:28PM, Dec 29 2012

I only see two versions of classic white lunar in the quartzite pictures. What is classic white? Can you post a picture?

  • Marble.com - Derek 04:48PM, Dec 21 2012

Unfortunately you’re outside of our area of service. You can still fill out an estimate request here: www.marble.com/estimate and an affiliated fabricator in your area will contact you.

  • Marble.com - Derek 03:43PM, Nov 26 2012

  • Wenyagrace 02:12AM, Nov 22 2012

  • Jamie 02:15AM, Oct 29 2012

how much per sq foot is this material?

  • Marble.com - Derek 01:57PM, Sep 26 2012

Hi. At the moment, we have the Classic White "Lunar" variety at our Ridgefield Park NJ and Deer Park NY locations. We have the regular Classic White at the South Plainfield facility: www.marble.com/locations

  • Ndowney3 05:11PM, Sep 25 2012

Any slabs in Plainfield. I am debating all white cabinet/island kitchen vs white cabinets  with gray island.  like the colonial family granites and some quartzite options.

  • Marble.com - Derek 02:06PM, Sep 25 2012

Unfortunately we do not know the name of the backsplash(es) used in the work example portfolio. We only installed the countertop itself and have information on that.

  • Marble.com - Derek 02:05PM, Sep 25 2012

The Classic White is kind of in the middle of granite and marble in terms of durability and maintenance. To be on the safe side, I would reseal the stone approximately every six months instead of every twelve months like the stronger, regular granite's. My inventory check gas informed me that we should have a few slabs at our Deer Park, NY facility available for viewing. If you are concerned about the durability, strength, and maintenance of this stone, then I strongly suggest to acquire a sample at the location and bring it home to test it out yourself and live with it for a little. This countertop selection is an important decision so it's good to take the time and make the right decision! You should seal the sample then test it out by trying to stain it with acidic juices and stuff like that. Hope this helps!

  • Baobaix101 02:36PM, Sep 23 2012

Lastly, do you know what backsplash these are in your work examples pics??  They're a perfect match!

  • Baobaix101 02:34PM, Sep 23 2012

Is this granite or quartzite?  How durable is it for use in the kitchen??  Mainly I'm concerned about heat resistance and staining....And do you have it in the Deer Park location so I can take a look tomorrow(monday 9/24/12)?  Thanks!

  • Marble.com - Derek 03:01PM, Dec 27 2011 If you reseal the Classic White every six to twelve months, then it will stay stain resistant and should not stain from regular usage, although leaving a red wine spill overnight ect is still not a good idea and these things should be wiped up immediately. To complete the sleek, elegant, and modern "white kitchen" look, for the wall color I'd use a choice such as Mythic paint "Fading Frost" and I've uploaded a picture of this shade for you to see. Hope this helps!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 01:44PM, Dec 23 2011 If you do not properly seal it and you let spill sit there for an extended period of time, you could stain the countertop. However, with proper maintenance you shouldn’t have any problems. For backsplash I would recommend the always classic honed White Cararra paired with Benjamin Moore’s “Gray Lake” or “Gray Cashmere”.  Another beautiful backsplash option is the Murano Vena JS0387. Let me know what you think!
  • Devorah 10:01PM, Dec 22 2011 I take it that this is granite.  Will it show stains and spills or will they wipe off easily?
Also, what color will should I paint the walls, and what kind of backsplash do you suggest? I have white cabinets. Thank you. Devorah
  • Marble.com - Derek 06:31PM, Dec 1 2011 May I ask where did you see that we have a location in CA? We only service the tri-state area of the eastern US, but you can fill out an estimate request here: www.marble.com/estimate and an affiliated fabricator in your area will contact you.
  • Irina 04:21AM, Dec 1 2011 Can  it be delivered to Orange County, Ca. I saw that you have a location in Orange, Ca. Please advise. thanks!
  • Marble.com - Kinga 06:05PM, Oct 24 2011 Unfortunately, we do not carry this stone in our Danbury, CT facility at this moment. However, the Ridgefield Park, NJ yard does carry it. For pricing and availability, please contact their sales office http://www.marble.com/location...

  • stephanie 11:31PM, Oct 20 2011 Hi! Do you have any classic white lunar in your Danbury, CT location?
  • Marble.com - Kinga 05:52PM, Oct 12 2011 When we send a technician to measure and template, he determines if it’s possible for us to deliver and install a 120” piece. There are many factors that come into play when we determine if a project needs a seam or not. It is impossible to establish if a specific project needs a seam without physically inspecting the jobsite. The biggest concern any fabricator and installer has is the actual delivery. We take into consideration if the stone a customer chose can handle the delivery. We have done numerous projects with enormous islands the sizes of full slabs without any seams as our technician determined it’s possible and safe for us to deliver it. We always aim for a seamless project but if a specific circumstance does not allow us to delivery one piece, we will have to seam it which again is determined at the time of the template.
  • Elke 05:01PM, Oct 12 2011 If it comes in slabs up to 139" is it possible to get a piece fabricated at 120"?
  • Marble.com - Kinga 09:58PM, Oct 10 2011 The longest Classic White Lunar which is located in our Ridgefield Park, NJ facility is only 113”. Slabs vary from 70” to 139” depending on the stone and shipment. Please note we do not sell full slabs as we are a fabricator.
  • Elke 02:17PM, Oct 10 2011 Can I get a slab in 120" for my island? WHat is the biggest size this comes in? THanks.
