    Allen,

You could visit our CT location located at 82 Mill Plain Rd. Their number is: 203-798-7700. I checked the inventory of that warehouse and we have this stone available for viewing and fabrication at that facility. Please advise, if you have any questions.

I am looking for a piece of emperador dark that is 2X4X8 inches, any possibilities?

  • Marble.com - Derek 06:03PM, Jan 25 2013

Hello. There really is no granite that will look exactly the same, but I have a few suggestions for you that would go along the lines of the color tone and pattern of the Emperador marble. My suggestions for you would be Brown Alpine, Azteca, Kosmus, Bahia Brown, and Amazon Tiger. Best of luck!

Is there a granite that looks similar to emperador dark marble?

  • Marble.com - Derek 02:58PM, Mar 6 2012

Overall, we just do not generally recommend marble as a kitchen countertop application because it's soft and more porous than granite. The pricing depends on the measurements you require and the sales office can give you an estimate: www.marble.com/contact I recommend to look at our granite's to see if anything catches your attention: www.marble.com/materials/grani...

Currently I have 12 x 12 Emperador Dark tiles on my kitchen counter tops.  I would like to change that to solid marble tops on both straight counters.  The question is, how durable is the marble for that application and is it more or less expensive than granite?

  • Marble.com - Derek 06:29PM, Sep 7 2011 The Emperador Dark is a classic and timeless choice, you should definitely go for it as the vanity countertop material! Another option could possibly be Dynasty Brown. As for wall color, try Benjamin Moore line 'Barely Beige'.
  • Kim 05:48PM, Sep 5 2011 I have a powder room/first floor master bath that is 5x8 ft. the toilet and tub have a door that can be shut to separate the sink area. What we have is a medium grey tub and toilet, i purchased beige fabric porcelain tiles by Infusion/American Olean for the floor, a console vantity in cafe walnut by Ronbow and I am thinking either Emperador Dark for the vanity counter or ??. What do you think would be the best marble to tie this all together and what wall color would be best?

  • Karen 11:37AM, Dec 23 2010 Hello, We are designing our kitchen with both the counters and the flooring with emperador dark marble, with antique white cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Problem is we have no idea how to paint the kitchen walls (ceiling = white). We like a pale blue. I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
    • All Granite and Marble 11:49AM, Dec 23 2010 Karen: Sure, please take a look at Benjamin Moore "White Satin, "Polar Ice", and "Fresh Water".
  • beth 02:55PM, Dec 19 2010 Can you tell me what the price per sq. foot is for the Emperador Dark Marble? Thank you.

  • TimC 05:45PM, Dec 17 2010 Is this an appropriate choice for a bathroom shower seat where it is in constant contact with water or would granite be a better choice?
    • All Granite and Marble 02:09PM, Dec 18 2010 TimC: Marble would be appropriate for use in a shower seat, the water will not damage the marble. I would just recommend to reseal the marble once a year, but that is a very easy process.
  • Karen 02:04PM, Dec 15 2010 Hi, We are using this marble for our kitchen floor and also wanted to use it as the counter but is there any matching granite we can use instead for the counter? I'm worried about staining etc.
    • All Granite and Marble 10:45AM, Dec 17 2010 Karen: Try Coffee Imperial or Bahia Brown.
  • Philip Mores 04:23AM, Nov 2 2010 I just like this color!

    • All Granite and Marble 09:03AM, Nov 17 2009 jill: It's a marble, more fragile and unwanted for a busy kitchen setting.
