Thank you so much for your input! It's greatly appreciated :-)

I have it as my kitchen countertop and oh man it's beautiful!!!!!!! I'm very careful in how I use it. For example I open wine at a table away from it and also acid things. My children are grown and away from home so no worries there.

Hello. Sorry for the late response. Rainforest Brown marble is an excellent choice for a bathroom application. Just make sure to reseal at least once a year so the stone continues to be stain resistant. Bathroom application typically does not introduce staining agents such as oils, acids, juices, wines, ect like a kitchen work space would, therefore marble is totally appropriate. Hope this helps!

How well does Brown Rainforest marble hold up in the bathroom?

  • Marble.com - Derek 07:50PM, Feb 18 2012 I'd use a darker color wood, such as cherry or walnut.
  • SR 11:58PM, Feb 16 2012 What color furniture will go well with a Rainforest brown fireplace
  • Marble.com - Derek 08:08PM, Sep 13 2011 We don't specialize in tiles, we are a countertop fabricator. I recommend an online search from various internet outlets, or physical tile stores you can visit. Good luck on your search.
  • Mlbrulet 05:10PM, Sep 10 2011 Am searching for 1"x1" Rainforest Brown Mosaic Tumbled tiles to use as accents in my ivory backsplash.  Any ideas where I can find it?
  • All Granite and Marble 02:39PM, Jun 6 2011 2marmax: You can use the Rainforest marble in a kitchen countertop application but be aware that this material is not as strong and stain resistant as granite. There is possibility of staining and chipping over time with constant use in a kitchen setting.
  • 2marmax 01:01PM, Jun 5 2011 can i use brown rain forest on the kitchen counter?
  • Cindy 05:55PM, Sep 8 2010 How would this look with black appliances?
    • All Granite and Marble 09:07AM, Sep 10 2010 Cindy: It's a great combination, the rich contrast and warm movement in the stone will compliment the dark wood nicely.
  • larry 11:07PM, Aug 12 2010 Really like rainforest brown.Would it go well with dark cherry cabinet s?What would you sugg. for a back splash and can this be used in a kitchen? Larry
    • All Granite and Marble 09:51AM, Aug 13 2010 Larry: The Rainforest Brown looks gorgeous and elegant with cherry wood. For backsplash try a mocha travertine tile. I'd be careful using it a kitchen setting though, it's softer than granite and quite porous.
  • Maria 09:44AM, Jun 3 2010 Can Rain Forest Brown be used around a wood buring firplace as a surrounding mantel?
    • All Granite and Marble 10:28AM, Jun 3 2010 Maria : Absolutely. Since marble like Rain Forest Brown has already been subjected to a tremendous amount of heat during its formation, the normal amount of heat generated by a fireplace will have no damaging effect upon the material.
