Hello. Our standard turnaround time from template to installation is approx. three (3) business days.

how quick of a turnaround is there for a vanity top in rainforest green ?

  • Karen G 06:35AM, Apr 20 2011 We are remodeling our kitchen and my husband has fallen in love with Rainforest and wants to use it on our island where most of the food prep will take place. Is this practical? The cabinets will be cherry.
    • All Granite and Marble 01:09PM, Apr 20 2011 Karen G: We do not recommend the use of marble in kitchens. Since it is a very porous stone it is prone to staining, and it's just very impractical in this environment. Our customers have to sign a release when they choose a marble counter top in a kitchen.
  • tim g 06:39PM, Feb 17 2010 thanks so much for your help. the other stone we're considering for our kitchen is verde fantastico, which is classified as a granite, but i understand it is also a serpentinite. is the verde fantastico significantly harder than the rainforest green? i know it's more expensive!
    • All Granite and Marble 10:50AM, Feb 18 2010 tim g: It is stronger than the Rainforest. It's a rare stone.
  • tim g 02:36PM, Feb 1 2010 isn't rain forest green a serpentinite, rather than a true marble? meaning it is less porous and doesn't react to acid because it is not calcium carbonate based but rather more magnesium based? i've done some inteernet research and the info seems all over the map. thanks for your help.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:35AM, Feb 2 2010 tim g: You're right, but it's classified as marble. It's stronger than regular marble, If you want to use it for a kitchen countertop I dont think you will have any problems. Just make sure to always wipe off any spills and reseal every six months (to be safe).
  • joy bruenn 02:05AM, Jan 10 2010 are these photos of your rainforest current? Is this what you have in the warehouse now?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:18AM, Jan 11 2010 joy bruenn: The current inventory might vary to some degree as stone is so versatile between slabs.
  • JakeHilfter 06:27AM, Jun 8 2009 da best. Keep it going! Thank you
  • rfgreen 12:22PM, Mar 26 2009 I know Rainforest Green is a marble, but I've heard both bad and good things about using it for a kitchen. What's your opinion?
    • All Granite and Marble 11:09AM, Apr 3 2009 rfgreen: We do not recommend the use of marble in kitchens. • CherryPecan 07:38PM, Nov 21 2007 Can you please clarify...you sugg the creamy/cherry colors but then said "that would definately not go well". Which would NOT go well(the cherry/cremes or the greens)?? Thanks.
    • All Granite and Marble 08:40AM, Nov 24 2007 CherryPecan: Sorry, to clarify - greens wouldn't go so well with the cherry pecan cabinets. In your first post you mistyped cherry, and for some reason I didn't catch that.
  • CherryPecan 09:09PM, Nov 19 2007 Thank you and sorry for all my typos. I guess I am questioning which look best with CherryPecan. The greens or the creamy/cherry granites. Any suggestions? Thanks
    • All Granite and Marble 09:45AM, Nov 21 2007 CherryPecan: Hmm. Well in general I would probably go with the creamy/cherry colors. To my knowledge, the Cherry Pecan cabinets have a red hue to them, and that would definitely not go well.
  • CherryPecan 12:53PM, Nov 18 2007 I am doing a kitchen in Vherry Pecan and like Rainforest Green, Verde Lavras, ShivaKashi, Juparana Linhares, Seaweed Green, Candeis Extra, Fantasy Green and Arandis. The floor will be light wood. Toom is about 10 by 25 abd has a lot of natural light. What is your ipinion?? Thank you.
    • All Granite and Marble 02:50PM, Nov 19 2007 CherryPecan: Rainforest green is a marble, so you can cross that one off your list. The other ones look to be cool ideas.
